Looks like the Obama Administration has instituted an all out assault on Combat Veterans. There’s not only the DHS Memo but now it is being reported that the FBI launched an operation in February targeting Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans.

From WSJ – Veterans a Focus of FBI Extremist Probe

A Feb. 23 draft memo from FBI domestic counterterrorism leaders, obtained by The Wall Street Journal, cited an “increase in recruitment, threatening communications and weapons procurement by white supremacy extremist and militia/sovereign-citizen extremist groups.”

The FBI said in the memo that its conclusion about a surge in such activities was based on confidential sources, undercover operations, reporting from other law-enforcement agencies and publicly available information. The memo said the main goal of the multipronged operation was to get a better handle on “the scope of this emerging threat.” The operation also seeks to identify gaps in intelligence efforts surrounding these groups and their leaders.

The aim of the FBI’s effort with the Defense Department, which was rolled into the Vigilant Eagle program, is to “share information regarding Iraqi and Afghanistan war veterans whose involvement in white supremacy and/or militia sovereign citizen extremist groups poses a domestic terrorism threat,” according to the Feb. 23 FBI memo.

I’m sure that President Bush is responsible for this, that seems to be the reply for anything from the Obama Administration that targets Veterans or anyone who doesn’t agree with Obama’s actions.

As if there isn’t enough bad news happening around the world, it looks like things are going to get even more complicated. Imagine Islamic radicals with the Nuke!

The military has given the government the sort of ultimatum that says it’s time to start clearing out its desk and looking for asylum in one of those havens for deposed and corrupt rulers. And in fact, it is clear that only a military takeover will prevent an Al Qaeda takeover of nuclear Pakistan. Meanwhile, politicians are squabbling, calling each other traitors, and threatening to action against one another instead of acting against their common enemy.

People expect the military to take power in Pakistan around March 16. Unfortunately, that will only delay the Islamist victory there, especially with senior elements in the military and in Pakistani intelligence already sympathetic to that end. This could pose a serious if not grave threat to the United States and our allies. But do we have any indication that our government is acting; or even has a plan?

Is anybody in the Obama White House paying attention? What kind of additional danger does this place US and Coalition troops in Afghanistan?

Texas State Senator, Dan Patrick, was on FoxNews this morning at 8:45am. He said he had some “breaking news to share�. Boy was it!!! The Texas State Legislature had been trying very hard to get the Obama Administration to respond to a critical situation on the Texas Border. The Administration had not gotten back with Texas as of last night. So the State of Texas told Washington D.C. basically they could go jump, and “we’ll take care of Texas!�. As of last night… the Texas National Guard has been put on High Alert!!! This is the first time in history! Texas tried, desperately to get Washington’s approval… but when they could not get it… they acted on their own. Which I say…. it’s about damn time!!! I personally applaud the guts it took to defy the Fed’s and act in our best interest! In case you are unaware of what the problems are …. Sen. Dan Patrick spelled it out nicely!

1) 100’s of PRO-DRUG CARTEL Mexicans were blocking the entrance to the United States, yesterday and today, banging cars, shouting and holding signs. 10 people were killed Wed. and 12 more yesterday at the border (5 of which were children!!!)
2) They aren’t sure … but they think the Drug Cartel is paying the demonstrators to do what they’re doing.
3) This will spill over into the States! Mr. Patrick, and the other State officials,. are convinced that road-side bombs and car bombs will make it across the border and WILL NOT allow that to happen!!
4) Mexico is breaking out in Civil War in the western part of the border and they expect it to spread the entire border with no end in sight.
5) The National Guard will be activated as the scenario worsens and is on Alert now and will remain so until (and IF) Washington does something to end the danger on the border (Yeah… like that’s gonna happen!).

Let’s hope that DHS Secretary Napolitano get’s her head out of her butt to stop focusing on the US northern border!

You can see the tell tale signs of creeping Sharia Law (Islamic law)through lawsuits and demands made by Muslims in America on an almost daily basis. Whether it’s the Somali Muslim cabdrivers (Mpls.,MN) who refuse to pick up fares who have been consuming alcohol to disabled people with a service canine or it could be something like Muslims demanding foot baths in a public building, it’s the incremental creep of imposing Sharia Law in the US. (Other examples, here, here, here, here, here and here (I could go on with the links).

Last year Stephen Coughlin (a Pentagon specialist on Islamic law and extremism)was fired because of Muslim officials in the Pentagon who opposed his work. You’d think there was no threat in the US from Islamists in this country.

This week in Shelbyville, TN a man by the name of John Guandolo gave a presentation to the Bedford County EMA. Guandolo is a former FBI agent who worked in the bureau’s Counterterrorism Division and is an expert on Al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood and their infiltration in the US. John Guandolo and Stephen Coughlin now work together in advising and briefing law enforcement about the Islamic threat here in the US.

From Brian Mosely at The Shelbyville Times:

Every major Muslim organization is controlled by the Muslim Brotherhood, the former FBI agent said, which he said was formed to overthrow America and establish Islamic law.

“They’re having great success of implementing Shariah law, I could give you a thousand examples,” Guandolo said.

He said small concessions like installing foot baths, and colleges forced to have separate swimming times for Islamic men and women so not to offend Muslims, are other parts of the strategy.

But Guandolo said that federal leadership is reluctant to act against these Islamic organizations due to political correctness and the threats of lawsuits.

He said that Muslim groups will demand concessions on matters by saying, “You have to do this; you have to do this or I will be offended.”

“The solution to this is you,” Guandolo said. “If you are looking to DHS, the FBI and Congress to solve this … you’re going to be woefully disappointed.”

He said that FBI agents in the field “are working good cases,” but that the FBI leadership “is unwilling to do what the agents are asking them to do, which is to pony up and use some courage and start stepping on these people.”

He also tells us that the documentary “Homegrown Jihad:The terrorist Camps Around the US” produced by the Christian Action Network (CAN) claims there is a camp near Dover,TN which is run by a group called Jamaat ul-Fuqra (aka America as Muslims of America). Responses to inquiries from Mosely to federal and local law enforcement regarding this allegation has been zilch, none, zero.

Citizens have a right to know of potential threats, ignoring or pretending that the issue doesn’t exist only promotes and emboldens these Islamists in their efforts to push Sharia Law little by little until it’s too late.

Kansas doesn’t want them. A letter from Democrat Gov. Sebelius was sent to the Obami on Jan. 28th. Seems like there are significant reasons why Fort Leavenworth really isn’t an option.

Letter from Democrat Gov. Sebelius:

# The current United States Disciplinary Barracks (USDB) at Fort Leavenworth is a campus-style construction and would not support the requirement to separate detainees from inmates and still retain its current mission to provide rehabilitative operations versus detention operations. Further, the USDB is designed to be secure from the inside out. Placing maximum security detainees in the facility will require significant changes to the USDB so it can be protected from security risks from outside the complex. It is my understanding that the USDB was largely built as a medium security prison with a maximum security section.

# If GTMO detainees are sent to Fort Leavenworth, it is likely that eminent domain would be used to obtain additional land around the Fort needed for the increased security requirements for this base of less than nine square miles. snip

#Fort Leavenworth currently does not have a medical facility, and it is estimated that it will take three to five years to build the required class three medical facilities for GTMO detainees. In the meantime, high risk detainees would be transported through the community to a nearby VA hospital. snip

#More than 120 international students attend the Command and General Staff College. In all likelihood, international student participation would cease since many of the countries from which these students come have publicly stated they are opposed to GTMO and the treatment of prisoners. snip

#Fort Leavenworth and its Combined Arms Center have been acknowledged as the Intellectual Center of the Army. There is a realistic potential that current Fort Leavenworth missions such as Command and General Staff College will be moved to other locations and that future growth planning will cease. snip

# The local airport is on Fort Leavenworth, and that airport will most likely no longer be available to local citizens. Furthermore, Congress granted a right of way to a rail line to pass through the installation more than 100 years ago, and today more than 50 trains a day use the line to transport goods to Omaha. Additionally, the river running through the Fort has commercial barge traffic. The airport, rail line and river traffic can become security risks, and making them inaccessible will significantly impact the economics of the area.

# Currently there are approximately 1,700 military dependents attending schools on Fort Leavenworth. snip

#Local citizens are concerned that the communities near the Fort will become a focal point for protestors, thereby posing a risk to local citizens. snip

But we know that Rep. Murtha (who is currently connected with a number of lobbyists being investigated by the DOJ) is more than happy to dump these vicious terrorists in Pennsylvania.

Coincidence that Hot Air has this story on kidnappings in Phoenix after my previous posting on the homeowner attack by Hispanic men.

According to ABC News, the use of kidnapping by Mexican drug cartels for ransom and revenge has spread beyond the Rio Grande and into Arizona — and the federal government has done nothing to stop it. Phoenix has become the second-worst city in the world for kidnappings, right behind Mexico City, with brutal dismemberments for those abductees who do not get ransomed quickly enough:

Good thing Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano (former Governor of AZ) thinks that the Canadian border is the greatest threat!

Back on December 15th I wrote about the civil war in Mexico. I was mocked by a long time fellow blogger Consul-at-Arms with this comment (note the comment was left at this post).

Is it officially a war now? Are we actually taking Mexicans as refugees now? I’ve been out of the office for a couple of weeks so anything’s possible….

Consul-at-Arms is a State Dept employee so I know he knows there’s problems in Mexico but just like Iraq (back in 2006) there are many people refusing to believe the obvious.

Now there is this report out from the US Joint Forces Command:

EL PASO – Mexico is one of two countries that “bear consideration for a rapid and sudden collapse,” according to a report by the U.S. Joint Forces Command on worldwide security threats.

The command’s “Joint Operating Environment (JOE 2008)” report, which contains projections of global threats and potential next wars, puts Pakistan on the same level as Mexico. “In terms of worse-case scenarios for the Joint Force and indeed the world, two large and important states bear consideration for a rapid and sudden collapse: Pakistan and Mexico.

“The Mexican possibility may seem less likely, but the government, its politicians, police and judicial infrastructure are all under sustained assault and press by criminal gangs and drug cartels. How that internal conflict turns out over the next several years will have a major impact on the stability of the Mexican state. Any descent by Mexico into chaos would demand an American response based on the serious implications for homeland security alone.”

We are being told this report from the El Paso Times-Military would respond to drug war is much ado about nothing. Obviously our politicians including the Obami have no fear since they are all ready to open the flood gates (as if they aren’t already opened enough)to illegal aliens. No big deal though, our economy is strong enough to withstand the invasion of millions more illegal aliens. I guess they’ll be able to call themselves refugees then and we’ll throw even more government assistance at them.

There’s a civil war happening……in Mexico. Back on December 1st there was this story – Drug Terrorists decapitate 9 just south of US Border.

Strategy Page is reporting Mexico: Iraq is Safer.

December 15, 2008: This month, about 26 people a day are dying from criminal and terrorist violence a day in Iraq. That’s a bit lower than the death toll in northern Mexico, which on a bad day (like last November 3rd) saw 58 people killed.

December 1, 2008: Mexican media reported that November 2008 was the deadliest month in Mexico’s now two-year old Cartel War. Over 700 people (one source reported 701 to be precise) were killed in November. 669 were killed in October 2008. That brings the death toll for 2008 to somewhere between 4900 and 5100 murders. One source reported 4961, another 5024. Still, the Mexican government can point to some progress in reducing kidnappings since launching an anti-kidnapping initiative as part of its August 2008 national security accord. The government reported that kidnappings since September have averaged 72 a month. This is down from an average of 90 a month (January through August 2008). But remember several things about all of these numbers — they rely on reported and investigated crimes. That said, the 2008 death toll is another indicator that Mexico is a country at war.

There is a war going just of the US Border and this war often times spills over into the US. Just think there have been more than 4,000 killed in ONE YEAR in this war. That’s almost the same as the GWOT in Iraq and Afghanistan for SEVEN YEARS of fighting. Yet, the US continues to keep the border between Mexico and the US porous and unprotected. What will it take?

9 Headless Bodies Found in Mexican Border City

TIJUANA, Mexico — The bodies of nine decapitated men were found in a vacant lot in Tijuana Sunday, part of a wave of violence that claimed at least 23 lives over the weekend in this border city plagued by warring traffickers, authorities said.

The heads were discovered in plastic bags near the bodies in a poor neighborhood of Tijuana, across from San Diego, Baja California state police said in a statement. Three police identification cards were also found at the site.

The statement gave no motive for the killings, but they came as Mexico’s drug cartels wage a bloody fight for smuggling routes and against government forces, dumping beheaded bodies onto streets, carrying out massacres and even tossing grenades into a crowd of Independence Day revelers — an attack that killed eight people in September.

More than 4,000 people have died so far this year in drug-related violence in Mexico.
