A tuberculosis infected man was allowed to board and fly from Philadelphia to San Francisco even though he is on a “Do Not Board” list. Comforting news, a man with a contagious disease is allowed to fly but they apprehended him after he landed in San Francisco, small comfort to all those passengers on the flight. Course those passengers? They never knew, nor were they informed because US Air didn’t want to cause undue alarm. REALLY.

Is there anything that works correctly with TSA other than targeting grandmothers and nuns?

Sick Passenger on “Do Not Board” List Flies Out of Philly

The man, who’s infected with Tuberculosis, boarded a US Airways bound for San Francisco Saturday, Centers for Disease Control officials said. U.S. Airways confirmed it was Flight 401.

He made it onto the flight even after being added to a “Do Not Board” list provided to the TSA and airlines from the CDC, officials confirmed.

snip….US Airways made the decision not to notify passengers who were on the flight, based on what the CDC told them — that there is little-to-no risk of exposure on a flight less than eight hours. This particular flight was about six hours long, according to Morgant Durrant, a spokesman for the airline.

“We don’t want to incite any undue concern,” Durrant said.

Don’t worry, a man with a highly contagious disease just sat next to you on a 6 hour flight but there’s little or no risk of exposure. A disease which is spread through the air, don’t worry though, you only sat next to this person for 6 hours!

I’m sure that Erroll Southers will be the answer to all of TSA’s problems. After all he’ll go after all those gun toting, bible thumper white Christian terrorists who are the greatest threat to our country

The push for illegal alien hispanics to count themselves as American citizens is going turbo for the 2010 census. Even though this particular poster comes from the National Association of Latino Elected Officials I can guarantee you it is fully supported by the US Census bureaucrats. That’s one of the US Census primary goals, to count all illegal aliens and legal aliens in the 2010 census.

The poster was based on a story in Luke’s gospel that says Joseph and pregnant Mary journeyed from Galilee to Bethlehem to take part in a census decreed by Roman Emperor Augustus. There is no other record of that particular census ever taking place, but the story explains why Jesus was born in a manger in Bethlehem, the city of David.

The poster was created by the National Association of Latino Elected Officials (not by the Census Bureau), which sent it to more than 7,000 churches to inform Hispanics about the census and encourage them to participate, regardless of their legal status. Some find it comforting.

I’m sure the Catholic Church will go whole hog for this campaign since they’re nothing more than whores for illegal aliens, especially those who come from any Latin country. The Catholic Church and the Vatican has bought into ’social justice’ and wealth transfers. Course that doesn’t include the Catholic Church transferring any of it’s wealth out of the Vatican, it just includes American wealth transfers to those who illegally enter the U.S.

In his new job Arif Alikhan will be Assistant Secretary for the Office of Policy Development at the Department of Homeland Security. Alikhan has been Deputy Mayor of Los Angeles – in charge of public safety for the city.

Why Muslim Alikhan at the Department of Homeland Security you might ask? DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano said Alikhan’s “broad and impressive array of experience in national security, emergency preparedness and counterterrorism will make him an asset” – yes, but on behalf of the US or Muslims? Alikhan says a big part of his job will be fostering communication between agencies. Alikhan, like Obama, also wants to help improve America’s image with Muslims around the world. He will now set policy on security at the highest levels of the federal government. But what policies has the new Assistant Secretary embraced?

During his years in Los Angeles, Alikhan was responsible for derailing the Police Department’s plan to monitor activities within the Los Angeles Muslim community, where numerous radical mosques and madrassas existed, and where some of the 9/11 hijackers had received support from local residents.

Alikhan is strongly anti-Israel; he has referred to the terrorist organization Hezbollah as a “liberation movement.” Hezbollah is on the US official terrorist list while being an affiliate of the Muslim Public Affairs Council. Alikhan also opposed President George W. Bush’s prosecution of the war on Islamic terror.

In 2007 Alikhan was instrumental in removing the Muslim terror tracking plan in LA. The Muslim ‘Mapping’ Plan of the Los Angeles Police Department is now “dead on arrival” according to Chief William Bratton. “It is over and not just put on the side,” said Chief Bratton in a meeting with the Muslim leadership of Southern California at that time. The meeting was moderated by Arif Alikhan. Chief Bratton acknowledged the hurt and offense caused to Muslims and agreed to send a letter to the Muslim community announcing the official termination of the ‘mapping’ plan.

A major reason for the termination of the ‘mapping’ plan was the Muslim community’s vociferous opposition and active civic engagement in making themselves heard beyond Los Angeles. Muslim organizations demonstrated a strong unity of purpose and message on the issue of ‘mapping’ that led to a position of strength for Muslims in the meeting. Those involved in the initial phases of this controversy were the Islamic Shura Council of Southern California http://www.shuracouncil.org/ and the Council on American-Islamic Relations http://www.cair.com/ , the Muslim Public Affairs arm.

Other speakers included Professor Agha Saeed of the American Muslim Task Force (AMT) who spoke about “the struggle of the Muslim Community against the pervasive atmosphere of Islamophobia and hatred in the aftermath of 9/11.. It was a struggle against the tide – a very strong tide – to prevent Muslims in America from being marginalized and silenced.”

Professor Saeed issued five demands from Muslims to the Department of Justice. These demands included a cessation to the infiltration by spies of mosques and an end to the introduction of agents provocateur. In addition there was to be a cessation of attempts to undermine Muslim groups such as the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR). OKLAHOMA CITY – Rep. Mike Reynolds, R-Oklahoma City, said Wednesday he combed through documents from an abandoned local ACORN office because of reports of impropriety at other organization chapters.

Oklahoma City-based news and investigative website Red Dirt Report discovered documents in an abandoned local office of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now in south Oklahoma City’s “Little Mexico� neighborhood.

Investigators found computers, hard drives, documents, registration forms, I-9 employment information and boxes with return addresses to ACORN’s New Orleans home office, as well as a regional IRS office last October.

snip….ACORN, which receives millions in federal dollars for voter registration, cannot legally support one party. However, internal documents show ACORN “targetedâ€? state legislative districts in 2007 and 2008, leading up to the presidential election.

Using H-1B visas inner city schools are importing foreign born teachers. Instead of trying to recruit Americans to inner city schools school officials are hiring from countries like the Philippines or Manila. They go into a job fair and hire in mass. And guess what the best part is for the schools? The pay of course! This report was released by union AFT (American Federation of Teachers) and reported by FAIR.

New Report Shows Schools Increasingly Hiring Foreign Teachers Over Americans

The report contains a case study of the Baltimore Public School District and notes that the city had hired 108 teachers from the Philippines in 2005. Just two years later, more than 600 Filipino teachers are now working in Baltimore classrooms, comprising more than 10% of the district’s teaching workforce. The report went on to assert that Baltimore school officials were leaning so heavily on these foreign teachers to fill job vacancies in their district that they were recruiting less aggressively in the United States: “Rather than attending job fairs throughout the Mid-Atlantic, trying to persuade reluctant American teachers to accept positions in troubled inner-city schools, HR officials can meet all their hiring needs in one trip. At a single career fair in Manila, they can interview hundreds of pre-screened applicants, each of whom is eager to pay for the opportunity to work in Baltimore city schools.” (Id.).

The AFT’s findings imply that international teacher recruitment is displacing American teachers. Amid the current economic recession, declining tax revenues have forced many state and local governments to lay off teachers. (The Wall Street Journal, February 3, 2009). Why, then, are school districts across the country increasingly recruiting foreign teachers to come to the United States to fill teaching vacancies? The AFT report suggests a possible answer: in one school district, foreign born teachers were “paid only $18,000 per teacher for their services, well below prevailing wage.” (AFT Report).

The AFT report also points out that many foreign teachers are being brought to the United States on H-1B visas. The H-1B visa program allows employers to bring foreign workers to the United States to work in specialty occupations that require “the theoretical and practical application of a body of specialized knowledge and a bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in the specific specialty.” (Department of Labor). However, some — most notably Bill Gates of Microsoft — have put forth the misconception that the H-1B program exists primarily to bring foreign workers to the United States to work in technology-related fields. Gates has then leveraged this misconception to lobby Congress to increase the H-1B visa cap so that companies such as Microsoft can have access to more cheap foreign labor. (See FAIR’s Legislative Update, March 24, 2008).

It’s hard to decide which is worse for the state of education in the US, foreign born teachers or US born teachers? Since most kids come out of high school not having a clue about American History or American Civics (or reading and math for that matter) I’m not so sure a foreign born teacher could cause any more damage. There is a certain amount of glee within me though at the teacher unions being undermined by this play.

Last Friday on a party vote an amendment to bar illegal aliens from receiving taxpayer subsidized health care was rejected in the House Ways and Means Committee. This was an amendment to HR 3200 America’s Affordable Health Care Choices Act (especially affordable to all those illegal aliens since they won’t be paying but YOU will be paying).

“Not only do congressional Democrats and the administration want to ignore the relationship between mass illegal immigration and the growing number of uninsured, they refuse to place any caps on how much American taxpayers should have to pay to provide health benefits to illegal aliens. When it comes to satisfying the demands of the illegal alien lobby, the administration and congressional leaders will spare no expense,� concluded Stein.

The 26 members of the House Ways & Means Committee opposing the amendment barring illegal aliens from coverage under the America’s Affordable Health Care Choices Act are:

Obama and Dhimmicrats want the US to move to government healthcare because of this supposed 46 million uninsured people in the United States. Notice they don’t say Americans. That’s because at least 9.7 million of the 46 million are non-citizens. The Census people don’t specify whether those are legal or illegal residents, but since we know there are at LEAST 10 million illegal aliens in this country, that number isn’t too big of a stretch.

If it isn’t bad enough that Obama and his Democrat cohorts want this country to dive down the cauldron to socialism for illegal aliens the rest of the 36.3 million are questionable too. The point to make with this is that these illegal aliens and legal immigrants still have healthcare (that we all are paying for), it’s just that they don’t have medical insurance. The use of emergency services at hospitals is immense and is costing taxpayers dearly every year. In fact this alone is bankrupting emergency rooms around the country.

Then we have those could pay for insurance but opt not to and hey, that’s their choice. Approximately 18 million uninsured are healthy and between the ages of 18 and 34. That leaves 18.3 million uninsured. Included in these uninsured are those over the age of 34 and earning in excess of $75,000 per year.

So, for less than 18.3 million residents or maybe Americans Obama and the Dhimmicrats want the US to move to government healthcare/insurance. It’s healthcare though, not insurance.

This is all about dependence on government. When there is dependence on government then government controls, not the people. Are you all really willing to give up your freedom and liberty for this shaman?

IBD Editorials – The Phantom Uninsured

The issue here is not providing health care, but who controls it. We believe health care is a matter between doctor and patient, not patient and bureaucrat. Obama says his plan is to ensure “that there is an option out there for people . . . where the free market fails.”

But the free market has not failed, except when it’s been overburdened by overregulation, mandates and litigation to the point that it is no longer free. Bleeding the patient didn’t work as a medieval medical remedy. Neither will bleeding the taxpayer and using bogus numbers to justify it.

Where is the lamestream media in questioning any of these statistics? AWOL!

But Sheriff Arpaio is not going to be bowing down to the Obama Administration on his illegal immigration enforcement policies. In fact, Sheriff Arpaio is demanding an investigation of the Deptarment of Justice and Department of Homeland Security ulterior motives in investigating his office.

On March 10, the DOJ announced it was launching an investigation into Arpaio and his illegal immigration policies to see if he was racial profiling the Hispanic community.

Arpaio says since the investigation began, the DOJ investigators have lied to senior sheriff’s office officials and engaged in an orchestrated scheme designed to acquire documents and witness testimony surreptitiously in order to discredit Arpaio and his office.

In a letter to U.S Attorney General Eric Holder and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, Arpaio voiced his concerns about the DOJ’s investigation into his office.

One concern was that the DOJ and DHS officials obtained interviews and documents from senior sheriff’s officials who should have been entitled to legal counsel but were denied.

Another concern Arpaio has is that in the “100 Day Report” to the Obama Administration, DOJ investigators bragged about the accomplishment of the investigation into Arpaio before they even had any evidence or facts.

Arpaio also says the DOJ admitted it based its investigation into Arpaio solely on “media reports”. He says even Congressman John Conyers, Chairman of the Judicial Committee, said he had no facts or evidence other than what he read in the paper before he asked the DOJ to launch its probe.

Arpaio’s attorneys say they are certain this investigation is not about justice but rather about a new Washington D.C. administration that wants Arpaio to do things the president’s way, for the president’s purpose.

It’s nice to see one official with some cajones instead of submitting to the Chicago thug political machine now occupying the White House.

How stupid, how about flying one of the Presidential jets accompanied by 2 fighter jets over NYC to get a photo op of the the Presidential jet with the Statue of Liberty in the background. That meant flying down the Hudson River just like the Jihadists did for September 11th. NY Law Enforcement was informed but were told to NOT INFORM THE PUBLIC! This is about an arrogant White House who considers no one but themselves. They’re taking a page from their boss.

From Glenn Beck who was emailed this picture by a friend who saw the jets flying down the Hudson and went into a panic just like those in Manhattan who were evacuated from buildings. There were people injured in a panic to flee from buildings. Just frakkin’ unbelievable. This is another black mark for utter stupidity for the Obama White House and the Dept of Homeland Security who must have approved this little photo op.
