This is just too funny. Here’s the Sweden, supposedly the country of all things politically correct, using the carcasses of rabbits for heat this winter.

The creatures are being harvested from parks in Stockholm, shot dead, deep frozen and shipped to a plant in central Sweden where they are burned and used to heat homes.

Some 6,000 rabbits were killed last year for biofuel and 3,000 have so far been culled this year, Stockholm-based newspaper The Local reported.

Yes, last week proves once again the fraudulent claims of the global warming alarmists. Hackers dumped a bunch of info from a key UK global warming advocacy university (Univ of East Anglia Climate Research). Stories of dummied up temperature numbers, blocking of any research refuting their claims, ignoring the decrease in temperatures, deleting of data they don’t like since it doesn’t fit their agenda and just plain hiding data.

Will this stop any of the morons from believing in ‘climate change’ or global warming? Never. Just like government run healthcare, this is all about power, control and money. The truth will not set you free. Especially when the US has weak minded Representatives and Senators who give credence to global warming. Yes, I’m talking to you Sen. John McCain, Sen. Lindsey Graham, Gov Tim Pawlenty, Sen. Bob Corker, Sen Lamar Alexander, former Speaker Newt Gingrich and the list goes on.

One of the most damning e-mails published comes from Dr. Jones himself. In an e-mail from almost exactly ten years ago, Jones appears to discuss a method of overlaying data of temperature declines with repetitive, false data of higher temperatures:

There are some of the same people who are global warming alarmists who were ice age alarmists back in the 1970’s, just think they are still making money off of fraudulent climate scams yet call themselves ’scientists’ and ‘researchers’ at prominent universities. While Obama’s administration slow walks any domestic oil company approvals for leases on the OCS (Outer Continental Shelf) it’s looking like Obama is willing to fast track the Chinese to take U.S. oil leases! Considering Obama’s love of the Chinese flag, should we be surprised?

China’s state-owned energy firm buys U.S. off-shore leases UPDATED!

The deal, which requires approval of the U.S. government, is between Norway’s Statoil and China National Off-Shore Oil Corporation (CNOOC). This is the same CNOOC that would have bought Unocal four years ago for $18.5 billion but for pressure from Congress, according to The New York Times, quoting an energy industry trade publication.

snip…If the administration approves the deal, it will be more vulnerable to charges that the White House is being careless with U.S. national security issues in the energy sector, and that it is putting the interests of a foreign power before those of U.S. energy consumers.

If Obama and Salazar reject the deal, it will likely complicate relations with China, the emerging Asian superpower that defense experts predict will be able at will to challenge U.S. legitimate national security interests around the globe in the near future.

The deal also focuses renewed attention on Salazar’s slow-walking of a new plan for approving energy exploration and development in the OCS, which includes approximately 1.7 billion acres, and, according to Interior, holds up to 86 billion barrels of recoverable oil and more than 400 trillion cubic feet of natural gas.

The administration is moving much too slowly to open more of the OCS to development for domestic U.S. uses, according to Jack Gerard, president of the American Petroleum Institute, who said recently:

Back in May of this year this massive tax hike was broached by Sen. Kent Conrad (D-ND) and now Pelousi is talking about it. For those who don’t understand what a VAT would mean, think of it as a widget that is going to be produced for the market. At every point in the making of that widget a tax is added to it’s cost. Each hand that touches that widget adds taxes. If you want to add 20% to the cost of anything you buy then you’d love the Euro style VAT.  By the way, this doesn’t mean that ANY other taxes will be going away, it means the VAT will be in ADDITION to all the other taxes we pay.

Back in May I had posted on the new drive by the Democrats to shove a VAT down our throats:

Sen. Conrad broaching the VAT was just the opening salvo, now Pelousi is upping the ante.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi joined a growing liberal chorus calling for a massive tax hike through the implementation of a value added tax (VAT). A VAT is similar to a national sales tax. Businesses would pay it at each stage of the production process and consumers at the cash register. European countries have had VATs for years.

Francis Cianfrocca wrote about “Get Ready for the VAT” last May in Redstate:

My expectation was that Obama would wait till after the midterm election in November 2010, and then start sending out surrogates to float the idea of a VAT. After he himself was safely re-elected in 2012, he would come out and champion the idea himself and get it done.

It looks like we won’t have to wait that long. Already, the PR push has started. Eighteen months ahead of what I thought the schedule would be.

The push he’s referring to comes from a Washington Post story which I referenced in my May posting:

“There is a growing awareness of the need for fundamental tax reform,” Sen. Kent Conrad (D-N.D.) said in an interview. “I think a VAT and a high-end income tax have got to be on the table.”

This is the plan folks, this will be what HAS to be done to save the country and it will need to be IMMEDIATELY. At least IMMEDIATELY after the Dems and Obama pass takeover of healthcare and the energy industry.

In the most profound financial change in recent Middle East history, Gulf Arabs are planning – along with China, Russia, Japan and France – to end dollar dealings for oil, moving instead to a basket of currencies including the Japanese yen and Chinese yuan, the euro, gold and a new, unified currency planned for nations in the Gulf Co-operation Council, including Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait and Qatar.

Secret meetings have already been held by finance ministers and central bank governors in Russia, China, Japan and Brazil to work on the scheme, which will mean that oil will no longer be priced in dollars.

The plans, confirmed to The Independent by both Gulf Arab and Chinese banking sources in Hong Kong, may help to explain the sudden rise in gold prices, but it also augurs an extraordinary transition from dollar markets within nine years.

Staff in carbon footprint trial face £100 fines for high emissions

Britain’s first employee carbon rationing scheme is about to be extended, after the trial demonstrated the effectiveness of fining people for exceeding their personal emissions target. Unlike the energy-saving schemes adopted by thousands of companies, the rationing scheme monitors employees’ personal emissions, including home energy bills, petrol purchases and holiday flights.

snip…Those who exceed their ration pay a fine for every kilogram they emit over the limit. The money is deducted from their pay and the level of the fine is printed on payslips. Those who consume less than their ration are rewarded at the same rate per kilogram.

WSP, the global engineering consultancy, has been conducting the rationing scheme among 80 of its British employees for almost two years. In the first year the overall carbon footprint of participants fell by 10 per cent. The company is discussing its scheme with several FTSE 100 companies.

Three quarters of the employees were rewarded and a quarter, including Stuart McLachlan, the managing director, were fined. Mr McLachlan tried to cut his carbon footprint by buying a bike and cycling 12 miles to work from Richmond, Surrey, to Chancery Lane, in Central London. He also installed energy-saving lightbulbs, but he still exceeded his ration — and was fined £100 — because he flew to his holiday home in South Africa.

It’s all about control, power and MONEY! Has nothing to do with science but has everything to do with junk science.

John Kerry, replying to an op-ed Sarah Palin wrote on cap-and-trade, suggests the Alaska governor “check the view from her front porch.” What she sees from there, senator, is energy wealth going to waste.

snip….Kerry, who opposed the Cape Wind project off breezy Cape Cod because a wind farm capturing energy from ocean breezes might spoil his view, went ballistic. In a thinly veiled reference to Tina Fey’s “Saturday Night Live” skit, he repeated the warm-monger mantra that the “global climate change crisis threatens our economy and national security in profound ways” and that “Gov. Palin need look no further than the view from her front porch in Alaska to see how destructive this crisis can be.”

What Palin sees is a cap-and-tax plan that will result in a “dried-up energy sector” that even the sponsors of the Waxman-Markey bill anticipate, or they wouldn’t have included a provision providing $4.2 billion over eight years for newly unemployed energy workers.

Stupid and hypocritical is a difficult afflication to overcome. I doubt that Kerry will ever recover.

To the groans and growing rage of millions of Americans, the Waxman-Markey Cap and Trade legislation crawled over the finish line in the House on Friday evening by a vote of 219-212. Manning the water stations at various checkpoints was a handful of Republican turncoats who kept the bill hydrated enough to achieve its narrow victory.

Had only four of these equivocators voted as they were called upon by their constituents to do, the vote would have been 216-215 and the bill would have been defeated. Two other Republicans didn’t even bother to show up for the vote. Jeff Flake, R-Arizona was absent because his daughter is in a beauty pageant today (a “family conflict” he says), and John Sullivan, R-Oklahoma, is in rehab for alcohol addiction. Interestingly, Patrick Kennedy, D-Rhode Island, was able to tear himself away from rehab to cast his yea vote.

Once again, Republicans, libertarians and conservatives, and anyone else who sees through the Cap and Trade shell game, were betrayed by a handful of Republican sellouts who no doubt will be amply rewarded by their environmental pinhead counterparts in Congress for selling out their own country.

Following her narrow win, Speaker Pelosi made this acid-laced and arrogant public statement: “For some it was a very difficult vote because the entrenched agents of the status quo were out there full force, jamming the lines in their districts and here, and they withstood that.” I assume that by “the entrenched agents of the status quo” she meant the millions and millions of Americans who voiced their opposition to the legislation.

There is a silver lining, however. Thanks to those Americans who are finally paying attention and taking a stand, this win is tiny, it is fragile. It means we double our efforts to defeat Waxman-Markey Cap and Trade legislation in the Senate. “The entrenched agents of the status quo” are coming for a visit and we’re bringing this message:

For all you capitulators warming seats on the Republican sides of the House and the Senate both at the state and federal level – while you distract yourselves castigating and castrating the Republican base for being “too conservative,” we’re moving through our country with one goal: to make you as irrelevant on the ballot as the Democrats have made you in the legislatures.

Obama’s energy advisor Secretary of Energy Steven Chu thinks all roofs should be white to save energy! This is a ‘Nobel’ Prize winning physicist and Obama’s go to guy for all things green. Tells you alot about the worth of a Nobel Prize these days.

He said lightening roofs and roads in urban environments would offset the global warming effects of all the cars in the world for 11 years.

“If you look at all the buildings and if you make the roofs white and if you make the pavement more of a concrete type of colour rather than a black type of colour and if you do that uniformally, that would be the equivalent of… reducing the carbon emissions due to all the cars in the world by 11 years – just taking them off the road for 11 years,” he said.

I guess that all people of color also need to be bleached white to offset global warming effects!
