The Tax Cheats Employed in the Federal Government Get a Pass From House Democrats
We’ve seen this so many times with Democrats in government who don’t think they need to pay their taxes. There’s quite a list of Democrat legislators who seem to be immune from paying taxes and then add in Obama’s appointments the picture is very clear. Democrats in power want to tax the rest of us death yet don’t think the rules or laws apply to them because THEY WON! All you have to do is a search of tax cheats at Michelle Malkin’s site and list of ‘Corruptocrats‘ appears.
Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT)introduced legislation that would prevent the hiring and force the firing of government employees and contracted private contractors with tax delinquencies. Funny thing though, the Democrats in the House aren’t interested and according to them, the legislation is ‘dead’.
From Kevin Williamson at National Review – Tiny Tims:
According to data from the IRS and the Office of Personnel Management, nearly 100,000 current federal employees are behind on their taxes. Not all of them are big offenders, but they are delinquent to the tune of nearly $1 billion — an average of about $10,000 each. If retirees collecting federal pensions and military personnel are included, the number is about 267,000, and they owe a total of about $3 billion.
Wonder why the Democrats don’t think Federal employees need to pay their income taxes? Could it be that most of them are Democrats and union members?

Possibly the best response to Rep Eric Massa’s ‘Ticklegate’
If you didn’t catch Glenn Beck’s interview with Rep Eric Massa regarding his ethics charges, you’re lucky! It was an hour of one tall tale after another. This guy is a total degenerate hack. Only the clever and astute writing of David Bellavia even comes close to expressing true disgust at this man’s lies and distortions.
BTW, David Bellavia has written one of the all time BEST non-fiction stories about combat experience in Fallujah, Iraq. His book reads like an intense action novel yet it’s true and his story. See House to House.
Vote Vets’ Rep. Eric Massa: Frakking Full of Shazz
It took FIVE men to peal him off atop his tear streaming tickle-victim.
Mass was endorsed by the tough guy Veterans Political Action Committee (PAC) VoteVets. VoteVets is led by tough guys like Jon Soltz, a veteran of four months of duty in a division extended for fifteen months in Iraq. So far since 2006, VoteVets (click here for the This Ain’t Hell breakdown) has lied about Body Armor issues in a multi-million dollar campaign commercial used against Senator George Allen, had another veteran lie about his service in a Missouri Senate campaign commercial for Claire McCaskill. Still following? VoteVets used a veteran who lied about being a veteran in Denver. A veteran who is not a veteran. There are lies and then there are VoteVets’ Richard Strandlof who is now facing jail time for claiming to be a wounded warrior.
For the past week, Massa has further disgraced VoteVets in a gay scandal.
This is the legacy of VoteVets. You can’t blame them. When you are so desperate to prove your argument, even though you are absent factual truth or first hand testimony, you tend to get that guy on camera quick. So when you meet a fellow defeatist, pro-victimizing veteran, you grab them with both arms. Sometimes vetting these liberal “war heroes” would a good idea. But if Jon Soltz and VoteVets vetted everyone in their group claiming to have served in a combat zone, hell even Jon Soltz wouldn’t be a member of VoteVets.
Eric Massa is the new mascot for everything that is VoteVets.
I’ve taken only a small segment of David Bellavia’s article on Rep. Massa, you really need to go read the WHOLE THING.

Statehood for Puerto Rico? The Dems are looking for a couple more Senators and Representatives!
The Democrat House is looking for an end run to pick up a few more Democrat seats in the House and 2 Senators in the Senate. They know they’re going to lose big in the 2010 elections so they’ve got to think of some trick to gain seats. They’ve got a new and convoluted plan to try and pull the wool over those supposedly naive Puerto Ricans!
From The Washington Times: Puerto Rican Run
Rigging an election is nice work if you can pull it off. That’s what the Democratic majority in the U.S. House of Representatives appears to be trying to do as it votes next week on the misleadingly named Puerto Rico Democracy Act, which is designed to confer statehood on the island commonwealth by hook or crook. The bill is wrongheaded on so many levels that opponents in the Senate ought to filibuster it to death if it passes the House, as expected.
The Dem’s subterfuge with this is twisted and deliberately obtuse enough to fool voters in Puerto Rico. Continue reading….

How do you feel about taking your 401k and investing in US Treasury Bonds?
Not so good? Well, this is one of the schemes Obama is planning. Forcing you to convert your 401k investment into annuities having the government as the annuity salesman. It’s bad enough that the likes of Rep. Barney Frank forced banks into the CRA using Janet Reno holding a sledgehammer over lending institutions heads. Then protecting Fannie and Freddie into insolvency so the US Taxpayers have to give unlimited funds to cover the CRA mess Barney and his Democrat cronies created. It was so great that Barney was able to blame the banks and Bush for the housing bubble collapse, can’t wait to see how Barney manages this conversion.
From All American Blogger we read about the plan detailed in Business Week.
But what you won’t read in the Business Week article is this from Will Collier of Pajamas Media:
As noted later in the article, “Seven in 10 U.S. households would object to a requirement that retirees convert part of their savings into annuities,” and the “why” of that opinion isn’t that hard to figure out: they’re a bad deal for everybody except the guys selling them. Consumer gurus like Clark Howard have been warning people away from high-commission “guaranteed” annuities for years. I bet everyone reading this knows of somebody who’s been ripped off by an annuity salesman.
But now … now the government would be the annuity salesman – except that if the administration gets its wish, there won’t be any “selling,” you’ll just be forced to take the money you’ve earned and “convert” it to a construct that they’ll allow you to “invest” in. No more of this willy-nilly mutual fund nonsense for you plebeians; we’ll tell you how you’re going to pay for things, so hand over the cash – it’s your patriotic duty!
It would be plenty bad enough if the “guaranteed” government annuities were limited to bailed-out insurers like AIG. But Karl Denninger of The Market Ticker took a deeper look and found an even scarier outcome. Denninger believes this is really a scheme to prop up the market for Treasury bonds by forcing citizens to “invest” in them.
As Denninger points out, “Forcing people into Treasuries as an ‘annuity’ is exactly what Social Security allegedly is. Except that Treasury stole the money that was collected in FICA taxes and spent it!”
Another Ponzi Scheme from the Democrats to rape and pillage the US Taxpayer.

Citizens Quitting Obama and AARP: Letter of the Year
What a letter to AARP and in substance to Obama. This is what happens when you have a President who speaks out of both sides of his mouth.

Dear Mr. Rand,
Recently you sent us a letter encouraging us to renew our lapsed membership in AARP by the requested date. I know it is not what you were looking for, but this is the most honest response I can give you. Our gap in coverage is merely a microscopic symptom of the real problem, a deepening lack of faith.
While we have proudly maintained our membership for several years and have long admired the AARP goals and principles, regrettably, we can no longer endorse it’s abdication of our values. Your letter specifically stated that we can count on AARP to speak up for our rights, yet the voice we hear is not ours. Your offer of being kept up to date on important issues through DIVIDED WE FAIL presents neither an impartial view nor the one we have come to embrace. We do believe that when two parties agree all the time on everything presented to them, one is probably not necessary. But, when the opinions and long term goals are diametrically opposed, the divorce is imminent. This is the philosophy, which spawned our 200 years of government.
Once upon a time, we looked forward to being part of the senior demographic. We also looked to AARP to provide certain benefits and give our voice a power we could not possibly hope to achieve on our own. AARP gave us a sense of belonging, which we no longer enjoy. The Socialist politics practiced by the Obama administration and empowered by AARP serves only to raise the blood pressure my medical insurance strives to contain. Clearly a conflict of interest there!
We do not understand the AARP posture, feel greatly betrayed by the guiding forces that we expected to map out our senior years and leave your ranks with a great sense of regret. We mitigate that disappointment with the relief of knowing that we are not contributing to the problem anymore by renewing our membership. There are numerous other organizations, which offer discounts without threatening our way of life or offending our sensibilities.
This Presidential Administration scares the living daylights out of us. Not just for ourselves, but for our proud and bloodstained heritage. But even more importantly for our children and grandchildren. Washington has rendered Soylent Green a prophetic cautionary tale rather than a nonfiction scare tactic. I have never in my life endorsed any militant or radical groups, yet now I find myself listening to them. I don’t have to agree with them to appreciate the fear which birthed their existence. Their borderline insanity presents little more than a balance to the voice of the Socialist mindset in power. Perhaps I became American by a great stroke of luck in some cosmic uterine lottery, but in my adulthood I CHOOSE to embrace it and nurture the freedoms it represents as well as the responsibilities it requires.
Your website generously offers us the opportunity to receive all communication in Spanish. ARE YOU KIDDING? Someone has broken into our ‘house’, invaded our home without our invitation or consent. The President has insisted we keep the perpetrator in comfort and learn the perp language so we can communicate our reluctant welcome to them.
I DON’T choose to welcome them.
I DON’T choose to support them.
I DON’T choose to educate them.
I DON’T choose to medicate them, pay for their food or clothing. American home invaders get arrested.
Please explain to me why foreign lawbreakers can enjoy privileges on American soil that Americans do not get?
Why do some immigrants have to play the game to be welcomed and others only have to break & enter to be welcomed?
We travel for a living. Walt hauls horses all over this great country, averaging over 10,000 miles a month when he is out there. He meets more people than a politician on caffeine overdose. Of all the many good folks he enjoyed on this last 10,000 miles, this trip yielded only ONE supporter of the current administration. One of us is out of touch with mainstream America. Since our poll is conducted without funding, I have more faith in it than one which is power driven.
We have decided to forward this to everyone on our mailing list, and will encourage them to do the same. With several hundred in my address book, I have every faith that the eventual exponential factor will make a credible
statement to you.I am disappointed as hell.
I am scared as hell.
I am MAD as hell, and I’m NOT gonna take it anymore!Walt & Cyndy

Democrats Have Tinkered With Payroll Withholding Tax Tables for 2010
Most people don’t understand or try to calculate what their withholding tax exemption should be to pay the least amount to the Federal Government. This is going to come as sneaky and stealth tax courtesy of the Democrat run Congress. It’s always been something I don’t understand about people. You don’t use payroll withholding as a way to save money in the form of a refund check.
This story started out because of letter military retirees received:
NO ANNUAL COST OF LIVING ADJUSTMENT (COLA) WILL BE ADDED TO MILITARY RETIRED PAY IN 2010.
DUE TO RECENT LEGISLATION YOUR FEDERAL WITHHOLDING TAX HAS CHANGED.
Turns out this doesn’t just apply to military retiree pay, it applies to all taxpayers. Another thing to note for military veterans who use the VA in lieu of insurance. The new healthcare legislation is not going to allow you to go without insurance, using the VA doesn’t qualify as insurance so you’ll either HAVE to buy insurance or be fined by Big Brother’s police arm, the IRS. Get ready to assume the position.
Remember, this is coming from the party of Democrat legislators who don’t think they need to pay income taxes. Can you say Charley Rangel, Chris Dodd, Tim “the tax cheat” Geithner, Tom Daschel and the list goes on for Democrat tax cheats. But they want YOU to pay.
Go get the details of the Withholding tax table changes at Big Government – Congress Tinkers with Withholding Tax Tables for 2010
The trick, when looking at the new withholding tax tables for 2010 as compared to post-stimulus 2009, buries an increase in federal withholding taxes–for all income categories–basically giving the government an interest-free loan until current year taxes are filed next year. Some would blame the increase in withholding on the Making Work Pay tax credit being spread out over 12 months as compared to 2009, which was only over 9 months, but this would be impossible as some middle class wage categories carry an increase in the withholding tax of over $200 per pay period.

Harry Reid’s Gift to the American People for Christmas

From Redstate – Capriciousness, Avarice Aforethought, Despotism: Bellwethers Of America’s Ruling Class
Say hello to the folks that never place your best interests ahead of their own.
Consider that the Townhallers and the Tea Partiers have been called everything from Nazis to birthers and fanatics – the people running around in right-wing militia and Aryan support groups, and ask yourself if you feel “represented” by the people running our country. Consider the backroom deals and greased palms and the souls being sold to garner Federal funds for their home states, even if it means killing a few babies along the way, and ask yourself if these are the sorts of people that make you proud to be an American.
Harry Reid comes out asking for civility in the Senate after he accuses Republicans of killing Americans and Whitehouse (D-RI)does his rant of name calling. And what does the GOP Minority Leader Mitch McConnell do? He doesn’t come out and tell Reid to start the civility himself or quote some of the recent hysterical comments made by Democrats. No, he comes out and passively talks about how they are all working together. It’s no wonder the Democrats have pushed this through, with GOP leadership like this? And Lamar Alexander is an even bigger milktoast than McConnell.
The only civility existing in the Senate is with the GOP. Stop with the civility. It’s too late to fight this monster since the GOP never did find it’s spine to fight. If it weren’t for Sen. Jim Demint the Senate GOP would be no different than a jellyfish.

Senate Healthcare Bill changes rules so it can’t be repealed
Erick at Redstate tells us about a provision which Reid has added which will require a super majority vote to repeal this web of mandates and bureaucracies. We also find out from Sen. Jim Demint that a section in the bill which says ‘rule change’ doesn’t really mean that, it means ‘procedural change’. Kind of like the definition of the word ‘is’.
DEMINT: But, Mr. President, as the chair has confirmed, Rule 22, paragraph 2, of the standing rules of the Senate, states that on a measure or motion to amend the Senate rules, the necessary affirmative vote shall be two-thirds of the senators present and voting. Let me go to the bill before us, because buried deep within the over 2,000 pages of this bill, we find a rather substantial change to the standing rules of the Senate. It is section 3403 and it begins on page 1,000 of the Reid substitute. . . . These provisions not only amend certain rules, they waive certain rules and create entirely new rules out of whole cloth.”
The Senate President disagreed.
DEMINT: and so the language you see in this bill that specifically refers to a change in a rule is not a rule change, it’s a procedure change?
THE PRESIDING OFFICER: that is correct.
DEMINT: then i guess our rules mean nothing, do they, if they can re define them. thank you. and i do yield back.
And this people of the U.S. is what happens when you have the Marxists in charge.
