Will Obama sell U.S. oil leases to the ChiComms?
While Obama’s administration slow walks any domestic oil company approvals for leases on the OCS (Outer Continental Shelf) it’s looking like Obama is willing to fast track the Chinese to take U.S. oil leases! Considering Obama’s love of the Chinese flag, should we be surprised?
China’s state-owned energy firm buys U.S. off-shore leases UPDATED!
The deal, which requires approval of the U.S. government, is between Norway’s Statoil and China National Off-Shore Oil Corporation (CNOOC). This is the same CNOOC that would have bought Unocal four years ago for $18.5 billion but for pressure from Congress, according to The New York Times, quoting an energy industry trade publication.
snip…If the administration approves the deal, it will be more vulnerable to charges that the White House is being careless with U.S. national security issues in the energy sector, and that it is putting the interests of a foreign power before those of U.S. energy consumers.
If Obama and Salazar reject the deal, it will likely complicate relations with China, the emerging Asian superpower that defense experts predict will be able at will to challenge U.S. legitimate national security interests around the globe in the near future.
The deal also focuses renewed attention on Salazar’s slow-walking of a new plan for approving energy exploration and development in the OCS, which includes approximately 1.7 billion acres, and, according to Interior, holds up to 86 billion barrels of recoverable oil and more than 400 trillion cubic feet of natural gas.
The administration is moving much too slowly to open more of the OCS to development for domestic U.S. uses, according to Jack Gerard, president of the American Petroleum Institute, who said recently:

Democrats Once Again Giving Away US Missile Technology to China
Just what is it with Democrat administrations? They love to give away U.S. national defense technology to the Chinese. So, now, not only is Obama ready to get rid of our nuclear defenses, he’s bringing in the Russians to ‘inspect’ our nuclear missiles and at the same time giving away technology to the Chicomms.
From IBD Editorials:Selling China The Rope To Hang Us
The Pentagon has announced that Chinese Gen. Xu Caihou will visit the United States and meet with Defense Secretary Robert Gates on Oct. 26. Xu is vice chairman of the People’s Liberation Army Central Military Commission. While here, Xu will visit American military installations around the U.S., including the U.S. Pacific Command.
Perhaps Xu will bring with him a note of thanks for the administration’s decision to shift authority for approving sales of missile and space technology from the White House to the Commerce Department. As Bill Gertz points out in the Washington Times, the little-noticed “presidential determination” made Sept. 29 alters a key provision of the 1999 Defense Authorization Act.
I don’t know how we should be surprised by this considering Obama allowing for the first time the Chicomms to fly their flag on White House Grounds.

The Beginning of the End in Trading Oil in Dollars, What Will This Mean?
This story is being reported in the UK Independent which Ralph Bristol mentioned on his radio show this morning.
The demise of the dollar
In a graphic illustration of the new world order, Arab states have launched secret moves with China, Russia and France to stop using the US currency for oil tradingBy Robert Fisk
Tuesday, 6 October 2009
In the most profound financial change in recent Middle East history, Gulf Arabs are planning – along with China, Russia, Japan and France – to end dollar dealings for oil, moving instead to a basket of currencies including the Japanese yen and Chinese yuan, the euro, gold and a new, unified currency planned for nations in the Gulf Co-operation Council, including Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait and Qatar. Secret meetings have already been held by finance ministers and central bank governors in Russia, China, Japan and Brazil to work on the scheme, which will mean that oil will no longer be priced in dollars.
The plans, confirmed to The Independent by both Gulf Arab and Chinese banking sources in Hong Kong, may help to explain the sudden rise in gold prices, but it also augurs an extraordinary transition from dollar markets within nine years.

Here’s the video of Chinese Flag flown on White House Lawn (at the same level as US Flag)
Back on August 24th I had a post about Obama allowing China to fly their flag on the White House lawn and there was a commenter telling me that story had been debunked.
Um…this rumor has been debunked. Never trust a Chinese newspaper as a source…Comment by Geoff — September 16, 2009 @ 10:30 pm |Edit This

Guess you were wrong Geoff, because this did occur and here’s the video.
The Obama administration made history on Sunday September 20, 2009 for allowing the communist government of China to raise their national flag to celebrate the 60 year anniversary of the birth of the totalitarian communist regime that enslaves over 1 billion people in China.
Some additional information from ALIPAC:
We now have solid confirmation that the communist government of China did in fact raise their flag above Washington, DC for the first time this past Sunday, September 20, 2009.
Official Chinese media sources originally proclaimed that the flag of the People’s Republic of China would be raised on the secured south lawn of the White House, where American groups cannot get permits for events.
When news of this event got out on the web and talk radio, there was an intense backlash. ALIPAC’s repeated calls to the White House information offices, as well as calls from bloggers and talk radio show hosts went unanswered.
Then the Obama administration told a news source that the rumors were unfounded and just another example of how the Internet misleads people. They failed to mention that the Chines flag raising ceremony was indeed a reality.
Here you can see the video of the Chinese communist flag being raised in Washington, DC with much fanfare and expense. It is being raised to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the communist takeover of China in 1949. In 1949, communist dictator Mao Zedong placed almost 1 billion people under the slavery of communism and forced American ally Chiang Kai-shek into exile in Taiwan.
The Communist Government of China then proceeded to engage in “comprehensive reforms” that led to the deaths of 36 million people due to oppression and famine.
snip…Since America’s politicians seem to be having trouble making decisions that are in the best interest of the American public these days, we thought you might want to see this video of America’s communist military enemies raising their flag over our Capital with much celebration
So much for unfounded rumors Obama. What? Were you just lying and figured no one would notice!

Obama to Fly China’s Flag at White House

Anybody surprised? Considering the incompetence of the Obama staffers I wouldn’t be surprised if they flew the Chinese flag so it was higher than the US Flag. Or how about, lowering the US Flag and raising the Chinese Flag in it’s place. What would be even more fitting were if Obama flew the Chinese flag on September 11th since he is trying to turn September 11th into Socialism Day instead of a Day of Remembrance. None of these events would surprise me since we’ve got a Marxist in the White House.
From China Daily – China’s national flag to go up in White House on Sept 20
The national flag of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) will be hoisted at the South Lawn of the White House in Washington on September 20, media reported Sunday.
Chinese associations in the United States had applied to hold a ceremony in front of the US President’s residence to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of PRC.
Chen Ronghua, chairman of Fujian Association of the United States, told reporters that their application was approved not only because of the sound Sino-US relations but also because China is a responsible country.

The US is deeply in debt to China yet we are going to give aid to China
All in the name of the scam called ‘Global Warming’, the U.S. is going to give aid so China (which is considered a developing country) to reduce their carbon emissions. The Chinese have got to be having a huge laugh at us idiot Westerners.
State Department Says China to Get U.S. Aid under New Climate Deal
U.S. Special Envoy for Climate Change Todd Stern said that there was “no question that China would receive both financial and technological assistance from the United States as part of upcoming climate change talks to be conducted in Copenhagen, Denmark.
“This is a developing country issue, which includes China, Stern told reporters on Friday. “I think there is no question that a Copenhagen agreement is going to have to include mechanisms to provide the financial flows and technological assistance to developing countries.
There is no end to the insanity. The US is deeply in debt to China yet we are going to give aid to China.
US Regional (GE Commercial Aviation Svcs) buys Chinese jets (ARJ21-700)
Now I have something else to remember in 2013, not fly an airlines that has these regional jets! I’d be afraid of some sort of poisoning. Who can trust Chinese quality control?
China to sell 25 regional jets to U.S. market
ZHUHAI, Guangdong Province, Nov. 4 (Xinhua) — China signed its biggest aircraft export agreement, in terms of both number of jets and contract value, Tuesday at the 7th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition in Zhuhai city of southern Guangdong province.
The Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd. (COMAC) will sell 25 ARJ21-700 regional jets to GE Commercial Aviation Services of the United States.
Vice Premier Zhang Dejiang, who announced the opening of the six-day airshow, attended the signing ceremony of the sales contract.
The deal is valued at five billion yuan (733.1 million U.S. dollars). The first jet will be delivered in 2013 and then another will be delivered every month after.
COMAC Chairman Zhang Qingwei told Xinhua this was the first time Chinese-developed and manufactured regional jets have entered western airline markets.
Roger N. Seager, vice president of the GE Commercial Aviation Services, said his company was confident in the ARJ21 aircraft, China’s aviation market and the Chinese economy at large.
ARJ21 (Advanced Regional Jet for the 21st Century) was developed independently by China. It has between 78-90 seats and a standard full-passenger flight can go 2,225 kilometers.
The regional jet will make its maiden flight in Shanghai within this month.
A total of 206 ARJ21-700s have been so far ordered
.
I think this is crazy.
Chi-Coms to require source code for all imported products
From The Raw Feed
The Communist Party-controlled government of China plans to REQUIRE THE SOURCE CODE OF ANY FOREIGN PRODUCT SOLD IN CHINA, from computers to household appliances, starting in May. Because China leads the world in both intellectual property theft and industrial espionage, many companies are concerned that the Chinese authorities will hand over source code secrets to competing Chinese companies.
Ya think?
Maybe this will change the balance of trade and drive US companies out of China. Those Communist countries have really adapted well to capitalism. This is who Barack Hussein Obama thinks we (the US) should emulate since they accomplished so much in setting up Beijing for the Olympics. Never mind about the rights of people to their private property etc….
What can the US and it’s Allies do for Georgia?
For one, the US needs to show in actions that they have Georgia’s ‘back’. All of this cowering in the face of the Russian bear not only emboldens Russia but also emboldens China! What happens if or when China invades Taiwan? Is the West going to spend a week on words? That will certainly calm these beasts down.
How the West Can Stand Up to Russia
By GARY SCHMITT and MAURO DE LORENZO
August 12, 2008; Page A21 (WSJ Online)
What can the West do? The first step is for the U.S. and its allies to rush military and medical supplies to Tbilisi. If we want democracy to survive there, Georgians have to believe that we have their backs. At the moment, the tepidness of the Western response has given them serious cause for doubt. In addition, Washington should lead the effort to devise a list of economic and diplomatic sanctions toward Russia that impose real costs for what Moscow has done. Russia should know that the West has a greater capacity to sustain a new Cold War than Russia, with its petroleum-dependent economy, does.
Next, the West should make use of Russia’s claim that its role in South Ossetia and Abkhazia is driven by the need to protect the populations there. If so, Moscow should have no objections to U.N.-sanctioned peacekeepers and observers moving into those two regions to replace the jerry-rigged system of “peacekeepers” that, until the war broke out, consisted of Russian troops, local separatist militaries and Georgian forces. If nothing else, the goal should be to put Mr. Putin and Dmitry Medvedev, the new Russian president, on their back foot diplomatically.
Over the longer term, it is essential that Russia’s stranglehold on Europe’s energy supplies be broken. The EU’s failure to get its house in order by diversifying energy supplies and insisting that Russia, in turn, open up its own market, has created a situation in which Moscow rightly believes it has significant leverage over the policy positions of key countries such as Germany.
It was Germany that led the opposition at the most recent NATO summit in April against a Membership Action Plan for Georgia, emphasizing that a country that has unresolved conflicts should not be allowed to enter NATO. We presumably won’t know for some time what the precise calculations were inside the Kremlin when it came to the decision to send troops into Georgia, but one can surely assume that the German position did nothing to discourage Russia’s plans.
The real payback for Moscow’s decision to invade Georgia should be the sweet revenge of a strong, prosperous and fully independent Georgia. Building on the strides Georgia has already made, Brussels and Washington should give Tbilisi a clear road to NATO and EU membership.
