Now this surprises me and there’s not much about Lamar Alexander that surprises me. I expect to be disappointed in how he votes in the Senate. He’s a big spending, socialist leaning Republican but I didn’t know that he had decided he was done running for political office in Tennessee.

The Thomas Moore Law Center has filed a lawsuit against DHS Secretary Napolitano for the recent report directing DHS enforcement to profile ‘right wing extremists’.

Are you pro-life? Are you pro-2nd Amendment? Are you a combat Veteran? Did you attend a Tea Party? Are you anti-government? Are you anti illegal alien?

If you answered yes to any one of these questions then you too can be classified as a ‘Rightwing Extremist’ by the Department of Homeland Security and are a risk to the country.

Federal Lawsuit Filed Against Janet Napolitano Over Homeland Security’s Rightwing Extremism Policy

ANN ARBOR, MI – The Thomas More Law Center, a national public interest law firm based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, announced today that it has filed a federal lawsuit against Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano. The lawsuit claims that her Department’s “Rightwing Extremism Policy,� as reflected in the recently publicized Intelligence Assessment, “Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment,� violates the civil liberties of combat veterans as well as American citizens by targeting them for disfavored treatment on account of the political beliefs. The Report specifically mentions the following political beliefs that law enforcement should use to determine whether someone is a “rightwing extremist�:

* Opposes restrictions on firearms
* Opposes lax immigration
* Opposes the policies of President Obama regarding immigration, citizenship and the expansion of social programs
* Opposes continuation of free trade agreements
* Opposes same-sex marriage
* Has paranoia of foreign regimes
* Fear of Communist regimes
* Opposes one world government
* Bemoans the decline of U.S. stature in the world.
* Upset with loss of U.S. manufacturing jobs to China and India
* . . . and the list goes on

The Law Center is asking the court to declare that the DHS policy violates the First and Fifth Amendments, to permanently enjoin the Policy and its application to the plaintiffs’ speech and other activities, and to award the plaintiffs their reasonable attorney’s fees and costs for having to bring the lawsuit.

Good for the Thomas Moore Law Center, any focus on this will keep it in the news. You never know, one day network news just might report on this.

Missouri HP isn’t looking for illegal aliens, nor is it looking for terrorists. They’re looking for domestic militia based on nothing more than bumpers stickers you might have on your vehicle! Apparently some government entity did a study and came up (seems to be out of thin air) that any vehicle that has a bumper sticker for Libertarians or Ron Paul or Bob Barr points to militia involvement.

An internal document designed for law enforcement education purposes inaccurately and dangerously implies that among the indicators of possible involvement in extremist, militant militia activity is support for the Libertarian Party. This memo and its findings are potentially dangerous to both the people of Missouri and to our system of free political speech.

The memo claims that membership in, among other groups, the Libertarian Party and/or the display of what it calls “political paraphernalia� in support of the party or its 2008 presidential nominee (former US Congressman Bob Barr) could be an indicator that someone is involved in a “militant militia�.

This is a serious assault on the 1st Amendment and a free society. They start with the Libertarians and then what’s next?  These?

This is another example of the Obami’s war against guns. What I’m wondering is how will he spin this one when Americans actually realize the return to the era of Norman Mineta’s war against commercial pilots carrying guns on commercial airlines.

Now President Obama is quietly ending the federal firearms program, risking public safety on airlines in the name of an anti-gun ideology.

The Obama administration this past week diverted somespections of pilots. $2 million from the pilot training program to hire more supervisory staff, who will engage in field in field inspections of pilots.

This is a lousy $2 million, it’s flyshit to legislators and the administration. Yet, they’ve gone even further with this:

Take a case against one flight officer who had visited the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles within the last few weeks. While there, the pilot noticed that federal law enforcement officers can, with the approval of a superior, obtain a license plate that cannot be traced, a key safety feature for law enforcement personnel. So the pilot asked if, as a member of the federal program, he was eligible. The DMV staffer checked and said “no.� The next day administrative actions were brought against the pilot for “misrepresenting himself.� These are the kinds of cases that President Obama wants to investigate.

Since Mr. Obama’s election, pilots have told us that the approval process for letting pilots carry guns on planes slowed significantly. Last week the problem went from bad to worse. Federal Flight Deck Officers – the pilots who have been approved to carry guns – indicate that the approval process has stalled out.

Pilots cannot openly speak about the changing policies for fear of retaliation from the Transportation Security Administration.

U.S. Army Puts Soldiers on the Street in Alabama in Response to Shootings

From Reuters: “U.S. Army soldiers from Ft. Rucker patrol the downtown area of Samson, Alabama after a shooting spree March 10, 2009.�

The U.S. Army dispatched soldiers to patrol the streets of Samson, Alabama, a small southern town where a rampaging gunman killed 10 people on Tuesday. This obvious violation of the Posse Comitatus Act prohibiting the federal uniformed services from exercising state and local law enforcement was completely ignored by the corporate media with the exception of Reuters and the London Telegraph (see photo and video).

snip…..In early 2006, the 109th Congress passed a bill containing controversial provisions granting the president the ability to use federal troops inside the United States in emergency situations. These changes (in Section 1076) were included in the John Warner Defense Appropriation Act for Fiscal Year 2007.

In 2008, Congress restored many of the earlier limitations on the president’s ability to deploy troops within the United States, but Bush issued a signing statement indicating he was not bound by the changes.

Wayne LaPierre gave a don’t miss speech at CPAC this morning. Some notes from his speech included an explosive interview with a CNN anchor where LaPierre demonstrated the dishonesty of a CNN reporter.

“Any attack on the Second Amendment is an attack on our freedom” Wayne LaPierre today

Loose quote “Credit rating of this Congress is branded into the flesh of your children and grandchildren”

LaPierre does a run through of the lies of the Barach Hussein Obama campaign regarding gun rights, all of which the media carried the Obami’s water for him in supporting these lies.

LaPierre talks about the UN’s global gun ban which will be making an end run on the United States now that the Obami is in office along with a compliant Hillary Clinton in the State Department.

I have never seen Wayne LaPierre speak in person and this guy is engaging, entertaining and will knock some sense into you if you have any sense. Unfortunately, there are too many people today who lost all semblance of common sense and they are the same people who voted for Barack Hussein Obama.
