Get yourself to the Hill to show your response to Rep Bart Gordon and Rep Jim Cooper for voting to double your energy and gas costs with a yes vote for H.R. 2454, Waxman-Markey Cap and Trade Bill. This bill is a horrendous power grab for centralized government along with killing the energy sector all in the name of junk science. Along with that, it establishes Federal building codes using California building codes as the guideline. If you’re a city, town, village, township you will have to hire a fulltime inspector who has been licensed by the Federal government.

There’s 1300 pages of energy and job killing legislation with this bill. No Representative who voted for this bill read the bill! They couldn’t have since the final bill was released at 3am the day of the vote last Friday.

If that isn’t bad enough there’s more power grabs about to happen by the Democrats if you don’t wake up and pay attention.

To the groans and growing rage of millions of Americans, the Waxman-Markey Cap and Trade legislation crawled over the finish line in the House on Friday evening by a vote of 219-212. Manning the water stations at various checkpoints was a handful of Republican turncoats who kept the bill hydrated enough to achieve its narrow victory.

Had only four of these equivocators voted as they were called upon by their constituents to do, the vote would have been 216-215 and the bill would have been defeated. Two other Republicans didn’t even bother to show up for the vote. Jeff Flake, R-Arizona was absent because his daughter is in a beauty pageant today (a “family conflict” he says), and John Sullivan, R-Oklahoma, is in rehab for alcohol addiction. Interestingly, Patrick Kennedy, D-Rhode Island, was able to tear himself away from rehab to cast his yea vote.

Once again, Republicans, libertarians and conservatives, and anyone else who sees through the Cap and Trade shell game, were betrayed by a handful of Republican sellouts who no doubt will be amply rewarded by their environmental pinhead counterparts in Congress for selling out their own country.

Following her narrow win, Speaker Pelosi made this acid-laced and arrogant public statement: “For some it was a very difficult vote because the entrenched agents of the status quo were out there full force, jamming the lines in their districts and here, and they withstood that.” I assume that by “the entrenched agents of the status quo” she meant the millions and millions of Americans who voiced their opposition to the legislation.

There is a silver lining, however. Thanks to those Americans who are finally paying attention and taking a stand, this win is tiny, it is fragile. It means we double our efforts to defeat Waxman-Markey Cap and Trade legislation in the Senate. “The entrenched agents of the status quo” are coming for a visit and we’re bringing this message:

For all you capitulators warming seats on the Republican sides of the House and the Senate both at the state and federal level – while you distract yourselves castigating and castrating the Republican base for being “too conservative,” we’re moving through our country with one goal: to make you as irrelevant on the ballot as the Democrats have made you in the legislatures.

Anybody? Where is the Democrat controlled Congress? Oh yeah, that’s right they’re busy passing “energy” legislation (HR 2454)to bankrupt Americans with all the new taxes and bureaucracy.

See what happens when Congress refuses to enforce The Federal Reserve Act’s provisions that require that equity ownership be taken only in instruments that have the full faith and credit of the US Government behind them?

Under the agreement, AIG will split off AIA and Alico into separate company-owned entities called “special purpose vehicles,” or SPVs. The New York Fed will receive preferred shares now valued at $25 billion — $16 billion in AIA and $9 billion in Alico — and in exchange will forgive an equal amount of AIG debt.

So now The Federal Reserve (actually the NY Fed) partially owns an insurance company through more off-balance-sheet Frankenstein monsters.

This is blatantly in violation of The Federal Reserve Act but nobody in Congress seems to care.

How low can a Democrat get? Down in the sewer low with the example of their Leader Obama. Remember when Obama made what he considered a self effacing joke on Leno at the expense of Special Olympics participants? Now, Linda Kellen Biegel, official blogger for the Alaskan Democrat Party, has photoshopped a picture of Trig Palin to go after Gov. Sarah Palin.

Remember when the TN GOP made a video of Michelle Obama using actual video footage of her words and this was decried throughout the nation by every media outlet as wrong. Nothing was photoshopped, no words were inserted nor were her words distorted. Yet everyone was coming down on the TN GOP for letting people know about Michelle Obama’s lack of patriotism or love for her country.

I’ll be waiting for the same media storm to decry the outrageous conduct of this Alaska Democrat operative against a small child who happens to be the son of the Alaska Governor. I always thought the children of polticians were supposed to be out of bounds from political attacks. But we know, this policy only applies to Democrat politicians.

While Obama was still a Senator one of the few bills he was pushing was the Global Poverty Act (S. 2433). This act gives authority to the United Nations authority to tax and impose laws on the United States. Since this wasn’t accomplished through legislative actions, Obama is now going to commit the U.S. through the United Nations. Obama wants to commit the US to a global tax of 0.7 percent of the US GDP.

Think of that. Obama wants to hand over control of almost 1 percent of the US GDP to a group of corruptocrats at the United Nations. The UN which is controlled by tyrants and theocrats who are salivating at the thought of adding to their pots of gold control of US taxpayer money under the guise of helping poverty in the world. Typical power grab by Obama and his totalitarian buddies of the UN.

U.N. to Emerge as Global IRS

The conference was postponed from June 1-3 and will now take place June 24-26 at the U.N. in New York. While the “outcome document” has been watered down somewhat from the previous version, it still reaffirms attainment of the U.N.’s Millennium Development Goals, which would require the payment of $845 billion from U.S. taxpayers. A commitment to the MDGs was a stated objective of the Global Poverty Act, which Barack Obama had introduced as a U.S. senator. It requires the U.S. to devote 0.7 percent of Gross National Income to foreign aid.

Now, as President, Obama can bypass the Congress and simply direct his Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice to approve the U.N. conference document. Then the pressure will be increased on Congress to come up with the money and satisfy our “international commitments.”

This is how Obama committed $108 Billion of US taxpayer dollars to international banks (IMF). He committed at the G-8 and then the Democrats attached an amendment to the Supplemental War Funding Bill. So, if the Republicans voted against the bill, it would look like they were voting against funding for the war.

The UN bureaurospeake for global taxes is now called: “Solidarity Levies”

The term “Solidarity Levies” is U.N.-speak for global taxes.

The Stiglitz document explains, “Some of the initiatives that have been proposed encompass ’solidarity levies’ or, more generally, taxation for global objectives. Some countries have already decreed solidarity levies on airline tickets but there is a larger set of proposals. There have also been suggestions to auction global natural resources-such as ocean fishing rights and pollution emission permits-for global environmental programs.”

It goes on to say, “The suggestion of taxes that could be earmarked for global objectives has a long history. To avert their being perceived as encroachments on participating countries’ fiscal sovereignty, it has been agreed that these taxes should be nationally imposed, but internationally coordinated.”

So the nations of the world, including the U.S., will collect the taxes but then turn them over to institutions such as the U.N. The world body will function, in effect, like a global IRS.

There are all sorts of global controls embedded with the UN Millennium Goals, none of which are good for the US. The UN Millennium Goals pretty usurp the US Constitution and US Sovereignty. Once approved by the Senate that’s it!

Band Of Brothers

Something a little different this week. Instead of profiling a service member, Wednesday Hero will be profiling a movie. Band Of Brothers. It was a miniseries tha aired on HBO in 2001. It follows Maj. Richard Winters, Cpt. Lewis Nixon and the men of the 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment assigned to the 101st Airborne Division, aka E-Company or Easy Company on their march to Germany. From their training to their battles at Normandy and Bastogne, their liberation of the Kaufering IV concentration camp to their taking of Hitler’s Eagle Nest. A great cast and great writing make this one of the best war movies ever made. But it is graphic in visuals and language. And parts of it may be hard to watch, but it is worth it.

What the men of E-Company did will never be forgotten. They are the heroes that helped the cause of freedom.

These brave men and women sacrifice so much in their lives so that others may enjoy the freedoms we get to enjoy everyday.

For that, I am proud to call them Hero.

This faux interest of Obama’s for Wounded Warriors was evident during the inaguaration and continues. Nice, you order wounded soldiers for an appearance with the CIC, order them to be in place at 11:30 and be late and make these wounded soldiers wait around for 3.5 hours. Then when the Obama does arrive he blows through the room, has nothing personal so say, doesn’t know their names nor does he have any clue how or where they were injured.

Yesterday. Dave Jr. was ordered to be at the National Naval Hospital with another 12 soldiers and Marines to meet with Obama. Obama was supposed to arrive at 11:30 AM. He finally got there at 3:00 PM. He entered the room with the wounded warriors and quickly shook each of their hands. He never asked their names, where they were from, or how they were injured. Then he left.

Dave Jr. has met the people who really care about the military. All he remembers from Obama is a weak handshake. The others in the room, younger and less exposed to the people that Dave Jr. has met, were so disappointed. Word about Obama’s “insensitive” visit has spread to the MATC ( the rehab facility) at Walter Reed and throughout Bethesda. The military sees through his phoniness.

All I can say is that it is such a disappointment that this man is Commander-In-Chief of our Armed Forces. He is an embarrassment to our Nation.

President Bush had a true and genuine caring for his troops. He knew their names, how and when they were injured. He usually visited the wounded soldiers instead of making them come to him. Read the comments and you’ll find out much more.

How easily it is to move from the American form of government to an oligarchy. All it takes is for a few good men (and women) to do nothing!

Too bad this video isn’t used in American public and private school civics and history classes today. Do they still teach civics in school today? Seems to me there are too many on the left who believe the fallacy that Nazism is a product of right of center government. It is nothing more than a product of propaganda from a propaganda dissemination during WWII to differentiate Communist Russia from Nazi Germany.
