CPAC 2009 Wayne LaPierre’s Explosive Performance

Wayne LaPierre gave a don’t miss speech at CPAC this morning. Some notes from his speech included an explosive interview with a CNN anchor where LaPierre demonstrated the dishonesty of a CNN reporter.

“Any attack on the Second Amendment is an attack on our freedom” Wayne LaPierre today

Loose quote “Credit rating of this Congress is branded into the flesh of your children and grandchildren”

LaPierre does a run through of the lies of the Barach Hussein Obama campaign regarding gun rights, all of which the media carried the Obami’s water for him in supporting these lies.

LaPierre talks about the UN’s global gun ban which will be making an end run on the United States now that the Obami is in office along with a compliant Hillary Clinton in the State Department.

I have never seen Wayne LaPierre speak in person and this guy is engaging, entertaining and will knock some sense into you if you have any sense. Unfortunately, there are too many people today who lost all semblance of common sense and they are the same people who voted for Barack Hussein Obama.

I don’t know what to say about this. We are looking at full scale disarmament by the DemoncRATic Party with their ownership of the country. By “ownwership,” I mean their full control of both houses of congress, and the presidency. Past indiscretions by NRA (Brady NICS, AW Ban) were not followed up with repeal while the Republicans held sway in both congress, and the presidency. Instead, the NRA fiddled. I can’t blame this totally on the NRA, because their is a powerful anti-gun element within Republican circles, as well. Both anti-gun laws in NYS were pushed, and signed by Republican (RINO) governors (Rockefeller, Pataki). Though pro-gun groups worked to get Pataki unseated, an NRA operative stopped a pro-gun Republican from running a primary against Pataki. That operative undermined Shooters’ Committee (SCOPE) members’ initiatives to rid the state of Pataki after he pushed through his 5 point plan which contained 1)a permanent AW Ban, 2)Combined Ballistic (shell casing, and spent lead) ID System (CoBIS) for new legal pistol purchases (law abiding only were impacted as illegitimate gun owners don’t register with the government), 3) bans on slingshots, and various knives which looked like other things, 4)raised the age for Pistol Permit’s (PP’s) to 21, 5)supposedly closed the gun show loophole (which never really was)by prohibiting sales, and transfers (firearms to heirs, giving a gun as a gift to another), between individual citizens. SCOPE fought this, and won it, on 1rst Amendment grounds. This effectively proved that their is no gun show loophole. For further info see http://www.scopeny.org/pataki.html

I’m not sure of what NRA has been trying to do over the last 30 years, but it seems at odds with their bylaws. However, I am a life member, and will continue to be, pressing them to change tactics, because the one’s they are employing are not working.
