DOH Secretary Napolitano thinks Canada is the greatest threat
On January 16th, 2009 Michael Hayden told reporters about the threat from Mexico, that it could be a greater threat than Iraq or even Iran.
Experts Say Mexico Bigger Threat Than Iran, Iraq
In its latest report anticipating possible global security risks, the U.S. Joint Forces Command lumps Mexico and Pakistan together as being at risk of a “rapid and sudden collapse.”“The Mexican possibility may seem less likely, but the government, its politicians, police and judicial infrastructure are all under sustained assault and pressure by criminal gangs and drug cartels,” the command said in the report published Nov. 25.
“How that internal conflict turns out over the next several years will have a major impact on the stability of the Mexican state.”
Retiring CIA chief Michael Hayden told reporters on Friday that that Mexico could rank alongside Iran as a challenge for Obama — perhaps a greater problem than Iraq.
The U.S. Justice Department said last month that Mexican gangs are the “biggest organized crime threat to the United States.” National security adviser Stephen Hadley said last week that the worsening violence threatens Mexico’s very democracy.
So, on January 26th, what did the incoming Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano identify as her priority? The Canadian border!
Napolitano’s priority: Canada border
Vulnerabilities along the Canadian border are one of more than a half-dozen priorities identified by Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano during her first week, along with cybersecurity and ensuring that federal officials are properly communicating with state and local officials.“The northern border of the United States has become, since 9/11, important to our national security,” Miss Napolitano wrote in an action directive issued Friday.
“As we have designed programs to afford greater protection against unlawful entry, members of Congress and homeland security experts have called for increased attention to the Canadian border,” the directive said.
Meanwhile, there’s a drug war in Mexico which is and has been overflowing into the United States for quite some time now. Meanwhile, there’s this report from yesterday.
Drug gangs winning the war for Mexico: Violence poses a security threat to United States
Violence in Mexico, mostly related to the trade in illegal drugs, is spiraling out of control. Even worse, it is increasingly apparent that the drug-traffickers are winning their fight against the Mexican government.snip…The cartels have also thoroughly penetrated Mexico’s government institutions even the agencies that are supposed to be dedicated to battling traffickers. In recent weeks, prosecutors charged top officials in the Attorney General’s office with being informers for the drug organizations. They allegedly received payments of $150,000 to $450,000 per month for information regarding surveillance targets and potential raids. Those sums are more than even high-level law enforcement personnel can make in several years and lower-level personnel can make in several decades. With such resources at their disposal, and with the U.S. and global demand for illegal drugs remaining robust, it is no wonder that the cartels are winning.
I wonder how long it is going to take before American troops are deployed to our southern border to protect Americans against the invasion of Mexican drug cartels and criminals? For every supposed ‘good’ illegal alien from Mexico, how many criminals are also allowed into our country? Where is MADD on the culture of drinking and driving with illegal Mexicans? Where’s NOW on illegal Mexicans raping, running prostitution rings and kidnapping young girls to be sold? Where’s the US Congress on protecting Americans? Where’s the Obami on protecting Americans? I know President Bush was awol on this subject. I don’t want another 4 years to pass. If Mexico does disintegrate into a state of disorder (which it pretty much is today), Mexican refugees will be pouring even faster into our country (which they pretty much are doing already).
US troops should be protecting our borders and they should be armed as if in a war zone.

Ha,ha,ha. I’ll say one thing, Napolitano can do it all with a straight face. She really is the epitome of a professional politician. One could spit in her face, and she would wipe it off with a smile and shake the spitters hand. Arizonans against illegal immigration from Mexico, watched her squirm and wiggle and thwart, every single thing that they tried to do to stop illegal immigration into Arizona and the U.S. The gal is slippery as an eel. Now she is worried about, ouuuuch!!, immigration from Canada. Yes, from Canada. But open borders with one of the most violent and corrupt nations in the world, Mexico, is just an “issue”. How much clearer can it be to Americans that the Democrats and Republicans are really one and the same. They don’t serve the citizenry. Not at all. If they did, would the nation be in the broke, lawless, and corrosive(to citizens) state it’s in? These “representatives” can’t even get around to paying their taxes. Excuse me, but this article has given me indigestion and I need to run–to the bathroom. Homeland Security, aha.
I want to apologize to the readers but can I posit just one more thing about why Napolitano and other “representatives” of the United States Citizenry tell Americans that Canada is dangerous and Mexico is just so so? It is because they like to test the American citizenry, to see how utterly stupid we are by ignoring them when they make these absurd comments, rather than calling for their immediate resignation. As fare as the stupid part goes,so far, we haven’t disappointed them, have we?
