You can’t blame Fox for all the ills offered on TV. After all, Fox, conservative though they are politically, Fox realizes that sex sells and drama doesn’t have to be intelligently presented. The NCIS and CSI series have repeatedly explored the idea of heroes being captured, mistreated and even threatened with death. But, Bones should get off this theme of easily taking captive one of the lead characters for the sake of drama. It backfires more often than it increases viewer ship. First you put the lead in a dire circumstance, than you put her partner in a dire circumstance. Wow, how realistic! I for one will stop viewing a program that does that to attract viewers or sponsors. Stick with solving crimes. Your cast of characters have enough qualms, psychological eccentricities and character flaws without putting their lives in danger. As an assumable they are terrific. Their intelligence attracts a steady audience and assuming Fox pays the writers and warns the directors and producers to stop reaching for even more drama, the show will continue to succeed and even grow more audience. We want to see our heroes capable and functioning, not wed to a bed of pain waiting to be rescued. Got it!. If not, search your psychs for some realism. If law operatives had to worry about being captured by the bad guys and crazies, crimes wouldn’t get solved. We want to see the crimes solves in an hour. That brings satisfaction, not angst.

We will continue to watch the show for now, and if the contents do not change, we will write the sponsors and boycott their products.

I find it hilarious that prime time TV shows such as The Unit and Bones and…well, just about everything else has HUGE makeout scenes between the straight couples — we’re talking full on tongue action — and then move on to sex scenes constantly, huge romantic storylines…and one — count it — ONE — TWO SECOND kiss interlude is enough to turn you off one of the few shows on television today that has quality writing, character development and great acting?

You make me sad.

(Oh, and by the way, if you’re such a homophobe, you should never have started watching Bones seeing as how the actor who plays/played Zach in the first three seasons and guests on the fourth season is a very out-of-the-closet gay man!)
