Debate at Mickey Roos

Williamson County Republicans gathered at Mickey Roos in Franklin for the debate. The BBC TV and Radio was there to watch and interview for our reactions. Unusually enough (fer sur) our table was the most raucous so we garnered some attention. I met some new people including one fella who went into a detailed explanation of the bailout with the reasons why it was imperative to infuse that cash into the system. While he was convincing and knew his ’stuff’ I’m still not convinced as to why taxpayers should be on the hook for this mess especially when the root of the problem which is governmental social engineering was not addressed and in fact is continuing to be promoted.

I thought both McCain and Obama were a yawn. I’d say it was a draw. Michelle Malkin has the live blogged the debate so if you didn’t watch just go read Michelle’s synopsis and that will be enough to give you an idea of the debate. Obama needs to find a new word other than fundamental, expand his vocabulary a bit.

Apparently the BBC was also at the Music Row for McCain event last night – here’s the link for that video. See if you can spot me!

If I find the links for the BBC audio and video I’ll add them later.
