I don’t read the Nashville Scene so I wouldn’t have known about this “columnist”, The Great Gadfly except for a heads up from Ken at Blue Collar Muse.

Since this Jeff Woods who calls his column “The Great Gadfly” writes a personal attack on Drew Johnson it seems only right to make fun of him. What male in his right mind would name their column Gadfly much less Great Gadfly. All I could think of when I saw this was how metrosexual can you get.

Woods takes the time to supposedly write a critical column on Drew Johnson and his public policy center (TCPR) which is nothing more than a rag on Drew’s appearance, his wearing of braces (recently removed) and body type. This is more of a gossip rag which makes me wonder if there isn’t some sort of envy going on here by the writer of the column.

His complaints are that Johnson goes after state government to disclose how taxpayer dollars are spent. Ohhhhh, that is a very bad thing for a public policy center to focus on, we wouldn’t want any transparency in government would we. We wouldn’t want to know about Al Gore and his excessive energy usage while lecturing to all of us ‘little people’ to cut our energy usage.
