House Finally Passes Funding for Military (HR.6028)
Oh, sorry, you thought that was the War Supplemental Funding Bill for the US Military? No no no……this was the Merida Initiative which is funding MEXICO’s military!
The House can’t get a US Military funding bill approved, nor can they get funding through to build a protective border fence but they can fund the Mexican Military. Unfortunately, after they train and fund the Mexican Military they will defect to the drug cartels to continue their drug smuggling across US borders and kidnapping of Americans.
I’d feel better about this if the Mexican government wasn’t in the business of sending their poor, their illiterate and their unemployed illegally across the US Border to sponge off of the American taxpayer. Then have the audacity to send their government officials to our country to call those of us who don’t appreciate their thieving ways names like racist and xenophobic.
From Michelle Malkin via CQ Politics:
The bill would authorize $595 million for fiscal 2008, $645 million for fiscal 2009 and $350 million for fiscal 2010.
snip….The Senate supplemental would provide $450 million for fiscal 2008; the House version would include $461.5 million. The administration had requested $550 million.
The bill would authorize $1.1 billion for Mexico, $405 million for Central America and $73.5 million for Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives programs that target the smuggling of guns into Mexico from the United States.
