Alec Baldwin and Al Franken two peas in a pod

This is really laughable. For those who are unaware, Al Franken is running against Senator Norm Coleman in the MN Senate race. The MN Democrat Farm Labor Party has endorsed Franken disregarding his violent and virulent comments about women.

ALEC BALDWIN: AL FRANKEN’S CHARACTER WITNESS

Actor who called daughter “rotten little pig” endorses Comedian who thinks jokes about sex with vomiting women & rape are funny

St. Paul- While several Minnesota Democrats have publicly criticized Al Franken’s extreme and demeaning “satire” at the expense of women, ultra-liberal Hollywood actor Alec Baldwin is rushing to Franken’s defense in a new commentary he penned for the Huffington Post. Baldwin, who last year called his own 11-year old daughter a “rude, thoughtless little pig” defends Franken’s character in the piece. In response to Baldwin’s cheerleading for Franken, Republican Party of Minnesota Chairman Ron Carey issued the following statement.

“The man who calls his daughter a “rotten little pig” in an obscenity laced phone call endorses the man who thinks drugging and raping women is funny. When Al Franken talks about how proud he is of his supporters, it’s clear they are repaying his loyalty. While Franken’s out of touch Hollywood friends may think joking about rape is great satire, most Minnesotans won’t. Al Franken’s 30-year career of ‘accomplishment’ is laden with jokes about bestiality, rape and having sex with women while they are vomiting – and only Al Franken thinks that those ‘accomplishments’ are great for the people of Minnesota.”

Baldwin Backs Franken:

Alec Baldwin: “Al Franken is everything you could hope for in a candidate to represent your state in the world’s most august deliberative body.” (Alec Baldwin, “The Importance Of Electing Al Franken,” Huffington Post, June 10, 2008)

Baldwin’s Greatest Hits:

**Baldwin Called Own 11-Year Old Daughter “Thoughtless Little Pig.” “Alec Baldwin could be barred from contact with his daughter after he left a threatening tirade on her voice mail, calling the 11-year-old a ‘rude, thoughtless little pig’ and vowing to ‘straighten your a—out’ on his next visit.” (Michelle Caruso, “You’re A Pig, Alec Tells Kid,” Daily News, April 20, 2007)

**“‘I am tired of playing this game with you. . . . You have insulted me for the last time. . . . You don’t have the brains or the decency as a human being. I don’t give a damn that you are 12 years old or 11 years old, or that you are a child or that your mother is a thoughtless pain in the a–,” [Baldwin] fumed.” (Michelle Caruso, “You’re A Pig, Alec Tells Kid,” Daily News, April 20, 2007)

**“Instead of saying goodbye, Baldwin ended the message with a string of insults. ‘I’m gonna let you know just how I feel about what a rotten little pig you really are. You are a rude, thoughtless little pig, okay?” he said before hanging up.” (Michelle Caruso, “You’re A Pig, Alec Tells Kid,” Daily News, April 20, 2007)

**Baldwin Likened September 11th Attacks To Florida Recount. “Baldwin, a well-known Democratic activist, made comparisons to Sept. 11 that were even stronger on Thursday when he told a Florida A&M University that the controversial presidential vote ‘has done as much damage to our country as any terrorist attack could do, in some ways.’ ‘I know that’s a harsh thing to say, perhaps, but I believe that what happened in 2000 did as much damage to the pillars of democracy as terrorists did to the pillars of commerce in New York City,’ Baldwin said to applause from the audience in Tallahassee.” (Robert Hardt Jr.,”’Bush League’ Baldwin In 9/11 Insult,” N.Y. Post, March 9, 2002)

**Baldwin Called Vice President Of United States “Terrorist.” “Actor Alec Baldwin writes on HuffingtonPost.com, quote, ‘Cheney is a terrorist. He terrorizes our enemies abroad and innocent citizens here at home indiscriminately.’” (CNN’s “Showbiz Tonight,” February 20, 2006)

**Baldwin: Henry Hyde Should Be Stoned To Death. “Jack Valenti has fired off a letter to actor Alec Baldwin, chastising him for suggesting in a comedy bit that people stone to death House Judiciary Committee Chairman Henry Hyde (R-Ill.). … During his guest spot, Baldwin noted that President Clinton has the public’s support and that in other countries, Hyde and his family would be stoned to death.” (Lisa de Moraes, “Valenti To Baldwin: Cool It, Smart Alec!” The Washington Post, December 21, 1998)
