Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW) named Rep. John Murtha the “Porker of the Year for 2007″. I’m sure that Murtha is very proud and in fact would look on this award as a badge of honor, considering that he’s looking for more campaign donations bribes on Feb. 27th. You can read more about that here and here.

Murtha Named Top Porker in 2007

In FY 2008, which began last October, Murtha secured 72 earmarks worth $149.2 million for his district, according to CAGW.

“For flouting the rules and playing games with reform, while filing spending bills with pork and arrogantly threatening anyone that challenges his authority, Rep. Jack Murtha is the 2007 Porker of the Year,” the CAGW announcement said.

Support William T Russell who is running for Murtha’s Pennsylvania Congressional seat in 2008. Help get rid of porker Murtha!

  3. Thanks Nigel but I didn’t come up with the photoshop on the Murtha pic. I found it at Blue Crab Blvd, see link beneath the photo. It is so good though I agree.
