Tend to agree with the commenter above. When I read the UN Millennium Declaration I didn’t see anything about anything but illicit gun trade and WMD. However, it does say it will implement the provisions of the United Nations Conference on Illicit Trade in Small Arms and Light Weapons. It too, seems on the surface to target illicit guns sales. I didn’t have the patience to wade through all the documents from 2001 thru 2006, but would no be surprised to discover the UN is recommending all guns be made “illicit.”

Kincaid is really stretching the “banning small arms and light weapons” in order to appeal to guys like me. The Declaration actually reads:

“To take concerted action to end illicit traffic in small arms and light weapons, especially by making arms transfers more transparent and supporting regional disarmament measures,”

It has nothing to do with legal, personal gun ownership in the US or anywhere else. It’s about *illicit* traffic in weaponry to the cesspools of the world where there is a high probably that they’ll be turned against our military. BTW, Mr Kincaid, is a “chairborne ranger” and I believe he has never served a day.
