History Lesson on Presidents Day
First I have a nit. The holiday of Presidents Day has always grated for me. I think it’s ridiculous there’s a holiday for Martin Luther King yet the first president of our country is lumped into a holiday called “Presidents Day”. It just seems to me if we’re going to honor someone then George Washington should be at the top of heap. If not for George there wouldn’t be a Martin.
What is needed today is a little history lesson and Ari Kaufman at American Thinker provides us that lesson. I like his 3 worst picks for presidents although I personally think FDR should be added to the mix for his socialist agenda which started the decline of a capitalist country into another country where the government steals from one citizen to give to another citizen. One of the great myths of our education system is the greatness of Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Here’s Ari’s picks for the 3 worst presidents:
1. Jimmy Carter (1977-1981)
2. James Buchanan (1857-1861)
3. Lyndon B. Johnson (1963-1969)
Check it out, you might learn something.
