McCain Jumping the GOP Ship in 2001?

I’m obviously not a John McCain supporter and have stated this a number of times. I would have to say my dislike for McCain started back in 2000 and has grown in intensity since that time. I paid attention to every slight and poke in the eye McCain jabbed at conservatives. With the choice of GOP candidates having been narrowed down to Romney, McCain, Huckabee and Paul, I voted for Romney with early voting. I still hold out hope that Romney will pull it out since I don’t think I can vote for John McCain in the general election. I catch a lot of flak for that from my Republican friends who are not by any means “for” John McCain.

The HIll has a story out which tells us McCain was courting the Democrats in 2001 after losing the Republican nomination. Stop The ACLU has the story.  Because of McCain’s attitude and treatment of Conservatives and Republicans in general tells me that this story is all too believable.

Michael Ramirez, the cartoonist, has captured and depicted McCain to a tee:
