Wishing you all a safe and happy Christmas

I made it to Minnesota and I can honestly say it’s amazing I made it without injury. Nothing like driving for 7 hours in 40 mph wind gusts and snow. The whole trip took a bit over 16 hours. Then I think my windshield washer fluid froze! Just getting out of the vehicle for gas was unreal. Had to hold the dog down so the wind didn’t take her away when she tried to pee.

From just south of Rockford, IL and on it was white knuckle driving. There were cars, SUVs and semi’s flying off the road into the ditch and usually there wasn’t just one at time, it was usually 2 or 3 sliding into the ditch at a time. I can say that the Wisconsin HP and Sheriff’s earned their money yesterday. But when you’re a trained professional like myself, well, what can I say. No slipping or sliding for me. [just kidding]. My Mother always surrounds my vehicle with Angels whenever I drive to visit so I had the Angels protecting me.

So, I hope everyone makes it or made to their Christmas destination healthy and safe!
