Remember-Honor-Teach: Wreaths Across America

WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA

Remember the fallen;

Honor those who serve;

Teach our children the value of freedom.

The Wreaths Across America story began over 15 years ago when Worcester Wreath Company (a for-profit commercial business from Harrington, Maine) began a tradition of placing wreaths on the headstones of our Nation’s fallen heroes at Arlington National Cemetery.

Wreaths Across America was formed as a non-profit organization (501-C3 status - EIN 20-8362270) in 2007, in direct response to the many letters and requests from supporters all around the Country, about how they too could get involved and bring the Arlington Wreath Project experience to their local communities.

We invite you to come and participate in this year’s wreath-laying ceremonies on Saturday, December 15th, at 12:00 noon EST. Click here for a complete list of participating locations.

Middle Tennessee’s ceremony kicks off at 11:00 am. I’ll be at the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery off of McCrory Lane. Since the weather doesn’t look like it will be cooperating this year (last year it was around 70) I’m very happy this cemetery has an glass walled building for the ceremony. Please come join us tomorrow.

I would also like to let you know (for next year’s ceremony) that you can donate a wreath or purchase a wreath to be laid at a loved one’s grave at any of the participating cemeteries ( see participating locations ). Obviously it’s too late for this year’s ceremony but you might want to keep this in mind for next year.
