It isn’t often I post about what we call “fun missions” in Patriot Guard but this welcome home was just so sweet. We had less than a days notice that LCpl Mosley was on his way to Dickson, TN. His wife Stefanie had been waiting for info from the Chamber of Commerce to organize a welcome home for hubby and apparently someone tuned her into PGR at the last minute. Stefanie had returned home to Dickson from Hawaii while her husband Daniel deployed to Iraq last March – she’s pregnant with their first child. In fact, Stefanie is due tomorrow!

We had a pretty good turnout for a short notice mission and definitely surprised LCpl Mosley with our flags outside the terminal. The airport even announced Daniel’s return from Iraq which was just so cool. Our ride from the airport (east side of Nashville) to Dickson (southwest of Nashville) was quite the ride since we had no LEO escort at rush hour. Yeah, it was a bit of a nail biter while going through Nashville but we made it intact. There were around 15 bikes and 4 cages along with 2 cages from the family. The Dickson Police met us at I40 and escorted us to the family’s home.

Just a fun and happy time.
