I sure remember the plane ride home and I got lucky I didn't have to fly into a commerical airport so I didn't get jeered or spit on . some did . 3 years ago I was with a group of disabled viet vets going to the wall on a contintal flight out of dallas when I got into a conversation with a stu about the group . a half an hour later the movie stoped and the pilot came on the intercom telling the whole plane who was on board , the whole plane broke into applause and cheers ! It was great ! , just 36 years late . I can't tell you what it meant but you can be sure there wasn't a dry eye in the group ! I travel a lot and I thank and salute and applaude EVERY G I I see in uniform . I will never use oakland air port agin . CARRY ON !
