It’s amazing what one finds out when a person actually watches CSpan.  This afternoon I turned on CSpan to see if the Senate had started with the Defense Authorization Act.  I wanted to see if the DREAM shamnesty amendment, which had been attached to the Defense bill, had been discussed or voted on yet. 

And who appears but Teddy Kennedy.  He starts to talk about the Hate Crimes bill, turns out this has also been thrown into the Defense Authorization Bill.  Kennedy in his circular drunken logic was justifying the inclusion of this bill with the Defense bill.  See, hate crimes all relates to domestic terrorism.  Oh really.

Based on my understanding of this bill (which passed the House) is that it gets into thought and speech crime.
