On The Road

Filed under: Personal/Family, Minnesota Related Topics — Toni @ 10:21 pm

I’m in the land of 10,000 lakes.  I drove from Tennessee to western Minnesota today.  It was so much fun, that traffic crawl around Rockford, IL was a true joy for 45 minutes.  Hit the Twin Cities at rush hour but breezed through on the beltway (I694) and thought wow, this is amazing.  Then I hit the I94 Friday night rush hour to go ‘up North to the lake’!  That was hour 14.5 on the road. It was the road crawl for 30 minutes.

But I knew I was in Minnesota and not Tennessee when I saw a dog in the back of a pickup truck!  Only the dog was in a kennel.  Tennessee dogs don’t need no stinkin’ kennel.

Luckily my Dad has wifi - yep my 85 year old Papa has wifi.  He feeds off his neighbors broadband, they have a barter arrangement.  So, I’ll be hanging with my folks for the next week.  Posting will be irregular, kind of like the last couple months.  Good thang it’s August when nothings going on.

I did put my Fred Thompson 2008 sticker on the vehicle plus I stuck a sticker that has the name Hillary with a line through it just to see if I get any reaction here.  Mostly though I did it just to bug my folks’ next door neighbor.  They needle me for being a Conservative and I needle them for being Lefties.  It’s all in good fun.  What I did find interesting?  I saw no Election 2008 stickers.  None!  All I saw were old John Kerry stickers, when will these people ever figure out that John Kerry LOST?

Oh, for some reason I’ve started to mutter to myself as I’m driving “bless her (or his) heart” quite abit.  When will people get their butts out of the left lane?  Too many buttheads driving, no state is exempt but Minnesota and Wisconsin are the worst offenders.

  1. Toni…

You forget…John Kerry didn’t “lose” the election, like Algore (PBUH) in 2000, Kerry was the victim of The Vast Right Wing Conspiracy which used Diebold voting machines and voter disenfranchisement to steal the election…

At least that’s what the moonbats liberals I know keep telling me.
