I beleive the whole mining incident is very sad. I was tracking the story on MSNBC for a good week and now I can bearly find it on air. The company should have taken safety precautions of some sort, like arm bracelets enabling to locate it's employees in case of situations like this one. Remember the 27 miners that died? Now instead they have to search inch by inch for what might not be a favorable outcome. Now about the Mexican/Immigration community; very hard workers. Of course like any other nationality there are some exceptions. People are people regardless of race, color, or creed. Everyone has a heart. My prayers and thoughts go out to the families of each and every one of the miners. I do believe in miracles. Did any of you see the movie The Day Without a Mexican? What would people do? Do you really think Ruth in Boca Raton is going to clean her own windows? Many have taken the jobs that Americans don't want. We are all the same just born in different countries.

If the mine had not collapsed no one would even care if the three Mexican men were legal or not. As long as they get the job done no one questions it. Just get them all out legal or not so that their familys can have some peace. As a member of the Mexican comunity I think I speak for everyone when I state that we are praying for all the men not just the Mexican ones!!

This is so retarded... who cares right now about their status!! Im against the illegal immigration, but the point is that there are 6 people trapped, not only 3 mexicans, 6 people. what matters now is to save their lives and then you'll see if they're legals or not. Besides according to CNN one of them lives here more than 17 years so I guess he's legal, right? Dont forget that this country was created by immigrants -my ancestors are italians- so anyone who comes legal here is more than welcome for me! And who hires illegals?? Pure white americans...

Why would their status matter? Who cares if they are Mexican immigrants, Mexican citizens or illegal aliens? what should matter is if they are dead or alive. We are talking about human beings. If they are found dead they will be citizens of a different realm and I know God will not ask them for any kind of papers and if they are found alive then I have no doubt they would love to be back home. Consider yourself lucky it was them under that rubble, or would you have prefered Uncle Tom or Uncle Ed down there?

The answer to your question is a big, fat "YES". I noticed this the first day of the mine collapse, reporters referred to them as "Mexican citizens" and "Mexican immigrants", and any other words they could use to avoid the obvious, "illegal aliens".
