Senator Stevens - take a long walk on the bridge to nowhere

HA!  So, the king of pork in the Senate (on the Republican side) is getting his butt in a skewer from the FBI.  Pulled into this net is also Steven’s son, an Alaska state senator.

Alaska Senator’s Home is Raided

I don’t care which party a politician is from, if they are crooked catch them and prosecute them.  I’m still waiting for Jefferson (D-LA) to be tried.  How long does this take?  Why haven’t any of Harry Reid’s land deals ever seen the light of the light of day by the Feds?

Too bad Harry Reid has eviscerated the ethics reform for earmarks!

From Redstate:

The chart below was put together by Coburn’s office to show the extent of the changes. Meanwhile, DeMint’s office says the senator will offer an amendment with his earmark reform language, which was agreed to on a 98-0 vote in January. The concern is that Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R.-Ky.), fearful of picking a fight over ethics reform, might cave in to Reid.

So much for ethics reform from the Dhimmicrats!  I’m hoping this is the end of the road for the king of pork from Alaska.  Now, Alaskans, how about electing a Republican senator who thinks of the country before he thinks about filling his pockets! Steven’s is up for re-election in 2008.
