Moore has new fiction movie called “Sicko”

I guess Moore is releasing another piece of fiction he’s called “Sicko” which he’s saying is a documentary.  On Fox & Friends this morning they were talking about  his new film of lies.  Supposedly he brought some first responders from 911 to Cuba for medical care.  Apparently he’s saying that Cuba has a superb medical system.  More propaganda from the king of lies.

Back in March of 2005 I had linked to Captains Quarters who had a posting on Cuba’s medical system.  He has photos of what is supposed to be Cuba’s state of the art Hospital.  I’m sure this isn’t what Moore will be showing in his propaganda film.  Expect to see all of the leftards out there to be exalting the state of Cuban health care while denigrating U.S. health care.

Two fans of Moore (Debbie Melnyk & Rick Caine) decided to do a documentary (Manufacturing Dissent) on Moore and found out about the liar and con artist Michael Moore.  This changed the direction of their documentary.

But after four months of unsuccessfully trying to sit down with Moore for an on-camera interview, they realized they needed to approach the subject from a different angle. They began looking at the process Moore employs in his films, and the deeper they dug, the more they began to question him.

The fact that Moore spoke with Smith, including a lengthy question-and-answer exchange during a May 1987 GM shareholders meeting, first was reported in a Premiere magazine article three years later. Transcripts of the discussion had been leaked to the magazine, and a clip of the meeting appeared in “Manufacturing Dissent.” Moore also reportedly interviewed Smith on camera in January 1988 at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in New York.

Since then, in the years since “Roger & Me” put Moore on the map, those details seem to have been suppressed and forgotten.

“It was shocking, because to me that was the whole premise of ‘Roger & Me,’” Melnyk said.

She and Caine also had trouble finding people to talk on camera about Moore, partly because potential interview subjects assumed they were creating a right-wing attack piece; as self-proclaimed left-wingers, they weren’t.

Despite what they’ve learned, the directors still appreciate Moore.

“We’re a bit disappointed and disillusioned with Michael,” Melnyk said, “but we are still very grateful to him for putting documentaries out there in a major way that people can go to a DVD store and they’re right up there alongside dramatic features.”

Yeah, these two Canadians are still fans??  Leftards - even when smacked in the face with truth they ignore it.

Here’s a link to the trailer for Manufacturing Dissent on You Tube.

Moore and Al Gore seem to have a lot in common regarding hypocrisy.  Moore uses his private foundation to invest in pharma and HMO stocks.  So, when he says he doesn’t invest in the stock market it’s just an illusion.  About the same as when he was railing against Halliburton yet owned thousands of shares of Haliburton stock.

Michael Moore Makes ‘Sicko’ Appeal

Expect the Hollyweird crowd to become experts on health care and drugs.  Well, they are experts on the use of illicit drugs and abuse of prescription drugs so I guess this is a bit more credible than their expertise on Global Warming, the environment or GWOT.

  2. “leftard”, c’mon, surely you can do better than that, or perhaps you can’t. Suffice to say, when a person begins a critique of a film by saying, “I guess Moore is releasing another piece of fiction…”, you’ve pretty much laid the groundwork as to whether you want your readers to continue forward and even (gasp) take you seriously. I despise a lot of right wing rhetoric, but I will at least listen to new ideas or rebuts of my own suggestions. Of course, that is what being a liberal is really about, not stifling the voice of others simply because you disagree with them or their ideas.
