This past weekend there were two Tennessee military funeral missions and a welcome home mission. 

Saturday we honored and protected the family of Lance Corporal Jeffrey Adam Bishop of Dickson, TN. 

From the Dickson Herald:

He was everybody’s protector; their hero and he wanted to start his own family. But the war in Iraq put an abrupt end to those plans for Marine Lance Cpl. Jeffrey Adam Bishop of Dickson.

Oh, we were so proud of him,� she said. “He was always the leader. He was the top of his class in everything he did.�

She said her son was active in virtually every sport, including high school football.
And he was very close to his family, she said.

“He was beautiful, he was my baby,� she said. “I’ve got plaques…he excelled in everything he did.�

The evil people from Kansas also showed up to dishonor LCpl Bishop’s family.  PGR prevented that from occurring.  The turnout for the Bishop family was amazing.  I believe there was in excess of 150 bikers along with many cages.  The community turned out to support and honor LCpl Bishop and his family.  The noise from the bikes was thundering to block out the protesters and the flags blocked their view.

From Dickson it was on to Nashville to welcome home the Marines of India Company. On my drive into Nashville I had a pleasant view of some hot air balloons flying above Mack Hatcher Drive. .

Sorry no photos of the welcome home. My camera battery was dead which I also forgot to recharge for Sunday’s mission in Algood, Tn to honor Sgt. Alex van Aalten.  Algood pretty much shut down to honor this fallen warrior and his family.

Friends and family all say that Sgt. Van Aalten was full of life. He loved the outdoors and participated in everything from four-wheeling to rock climbing and kayaking. A black-belt in Karate, he was an instructor at Jack Scott Karate in Cookeville. Growing up in the Monterey area, he went to Pleasant Hill Elementary School from kindergarten to eighth grade. His mother said that he had always wanted to be a solder. Because Monterey High School had no ROTC program, he went to Cookeville High School instead and became the ROTC brigade commander before graduating from high school.I do remember him,� Pleasant Hill Elementary School Principal Mary Ann Kotus said Friday night. “I remember him being very smart, very well liked. He could talk about a lot of subjects; he knew a lot about a lot of things. We were all so saddened to hear about this.�

Tennessee has lost two brave and heroic warriors.

Sometimes you hate to be right.  In February I had written about this altercation between a BP agent and Mexican illegal aliens which resulted in the death of one illegal alien.

Mama don’t raise your child to become an illegal alien

Unfortunately this ignorant Mother encouraged her children to break the law of the U.S. of America. As a result one of her sons is now dead. Six of the seven illegals were taken into custody and her son decided to fight the Border Patrol. Of course I’m sure the case of Ramos and Compean has emboldened those from Mexico to defy and fight the Border Patrol. This ignorant Mother will probably also sue the BP just like the drug smuggler who was stopped by Ramos and Compean.

The Border Patrol, Department of Homeland Security, Justice Department and most of the politicians pushing for amnesty have created this monster we call illegal aliens. These illegals think they have the same rights as US Citizens and the fore mentioned are complicit in promoting this fallacy.

On April 23rd, BP Agent Nicholas Corbett was charged with 4 counts of homicide. Unfortunately, if a BP Agent thinks their life is in danger (like an illegal alien is picking up a rock to throw at the Agent) I guess they are supposed to wait until after the illegal alien has thrown the rock at them with the rock hitting them in the head before taking action. Of course by this time, it’s too late! I really wonder what constitutes a “threat” to these District Attorneys? Rock throwing is a common weapon of choice for illegal aliens when encountering the Border Patrol.

“The evidence shows that at the time he was shot, Mr. Dominguez Rivera presented no threat to agent Corbett and agent Corbett did not act in reasonable apprehension of imminent death or serious physical injury,” the statement says.

A judge will schedule an initial appearance for Corbett likely by the end of the week where conditions of release, including whether bond will be set, will be determined, Rheinheimer said. Then, a preliminary hearing will be scheduled within 20 days, where a judge will decide if there is enough evidence for a trial, and if so, on what charges.

From his home in Cuautla, Morelos, the father of Francisco Dominguez Rivera, Renato Dominguez celebrated the news as the start of a formal process against the Border Patrol agent.

While he had earlier complained at the lack of progress in the investigation, Dominguez Rivera’s father said Monday he is pleased at the news the agent has been charged.

Wonder when we find out that maybe Mexican authorities had access to witnesses or what kind of sweetheart deal has been made with the witnesses and family of Rivera’s.  With all the recent BP cases the Mexican families and witnesses were given green cards, medical help along with no charges filed for their criminal activity.

Course the National Border Patrol Council has a different view of this:

The decision is a part of a nationwide pattern of politically motivated prosecutions against Border Patrol agents, said Brandon Judd, vice president of Local 2544, the Arizona Chapter of the National Border Patrol Council.The matching testimony from three witnesses has more to do with their blood ties and influence from the Mexican Consulate than what actually happened, Judd says. He also disagrees with Rheinheimer’s assertion that the physical evidence contradicts Corbett’s statements.

“I’ve looked over the reports and I have a hard time seeing how they could do it unless of course this was politically motivated,” Judd said Monday.

There is a definite pattern which has been established with the prosecution of BP Agents with Ramos & Compean, Brugman, Hernandez and Sipe.  Go here for links to many postings on these Border Patrol Agents.

This news isn’t a surprise to those of us who have been following this case.  You remember these are the Marines that Rep. John Murtha (D,PA) called ‘cold blooded murderers’!  Sen. Carl Levin (D, MI) said there was ‘overwhelming’ evidence that the Marines committed this atrocity in Haditha.  All of this was said before an investigation was even completed.

In a nutshell, the case exploded when an intelligence officer dropped a bombshell on prosecutors during a pre-hearing interview when he revealed the existence of exculpatory evidence that appears to have been obtained by the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) and withheld from the prosecutors.

This officer, described by senior Marine Corps superiors as one of the best and most dedicated intelligence officers in the entire Marine Corps, was in possession of evidence which provided a minute-by-minute narrative of the entire day’s action — material which he had amassed while monitoring the day’s action in his capacity as the battalion’s intelligence officer. That material, he says, was also in the hands of the NCIS.

Much of that evidence remains classified, but it includes videos of the entire day’s action, including airstrikes against insurgent safe houses. Also included was all of the radio traffic describing the ongoing action between the men on the ground and battalion headquarters, and proof that the Marines were aware that the insurgents conducting the ambush of the Kilo Company troops were videotaping the action — the same video that after editing ended up in the hands of a gullible anti-war correspondent for Time magazine.

Wonder if Murtha or Levin will admit their smearing of brave and heroic Marines just doing their jobs? I doubt it since these political opportunists see nothing wrong in using and abusing a soldier all in the name of political gamesmenship. This is how the Dhimmicrats support the troops……by stabbing them in the back. After all, these warriors are only pawns in their political power games with the Bush Administration as their target.

Wonder if a Marine could file a defamation lawsuit against Murtha or Levin?

With Harry Reid’s statement that “the war is lost” we are watching the Dhimmicrats retreat and surrender to radical Islam.  This is not about Iraq, it’s about the global war on radical Islam.  Iraq is just one part of this global war.

Rather, the great divide is between those, such as me, who believe that the rise of radical Islam poses an existential threat to Western Civilization; and those who believe it is a nuisance, if episodically a very dangerous nuisance.

To those who just can’t read the writing on the wall my wish is that you are among the first to be taken out by an Islamist suicide bomber on the streets of America.

whatever powers you wish to. How special.

And Dhimmicrats wonder why people think they’re cowards or un-American!  Aiding and Abetting the Enemy constitutes treason.  Harry Reid should resign as Majority Leader NOW.

This Weeks Soldier Was Suggested By Sunny Kay

68 years old from New York City, New York

Platoon Leader of 2nd Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile) (U.S.)

Col. Rick Rescorla is a multiple time hero. In 1957 he enlisted in the British Army and began training as a paratrooper with The Parachute Regiment of the 16th Air Assault Brigade. He went on to serve with an intelligence unit in Cyprus, a paramilitary police inspector in the Northern Rhodesia Police (now the Zambia Police Service). When his military career ended in England he joined the Metropolitan Police Service in London. But he found the paperwork too boring and quite at the behest of a friend who encouraged him to join the United State Army. Which he did.

In 1963, Rescorla enlisted, with his friend, in the United States Army. After he completed basic training he attended officer training school and was assigned as a platoon leader in the 2nd Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile).

He was shipped to Vietnam and participated in the Battle of la Drang. While in Vietnam, he was given the nickname “Hard Core” by his men for his bravery in battle.

In 1968, Resorla became a U.S. citizen and continued his service in the Army Reserves until 1990 when he retired. In 1985 he joined a financial services firm, located in the World Trade Center, as security director.

In 1993, when the WTC was bombed, Rescorla was instrumental in evacuating people from the building. Afterwards, he enacted a policy in which all employees of the firm practiced evacuation drills every three months.

September 11, 2001. Rick Rescorla was supposed to be on vacation getting ready for his daughters wedding. Instead he was at work covering a shift for one of his deputies so that he could go on vacation. When American Airlines Flight 11 hit Tower 1, Rescorla ignored officials advice to stay put and opted instead to put his evacuation drills to use. While evacuating the 3,800 employees of his firm in Towers 2 and 5 he kept reminding them “be proud to be an American …everyone will be talking about you tomorrow” and sang God Bless America over his bullhorn. When Flight 175 struck Tower 2, Rescorla had already evacuated most of the employees from his firm as well as many others from other floors. He then went back in, despite being told he needed to evacuate himself. The last known words anyone heard him say were, “As soon as I make sure everyone else is out”. Tower 2 collapsed with Rick Rescorla last seen heading to the 10th floor looking for more people to help.

As a result of his actions that day, all but six employees of his firm made it out alive. One of those being him and three others being his deputies who followed him into Tower 2, Wesley Mercer, Jorge Velazquez, and Godwin Forde.

These brave men and women sacrifice so much in their lives so that others may enjoy the freedoms we get to enjoy everyday. For that, I am proud to call them Hero.

We Should Not Only Mourn These Men And Women Who Died, We Should Also Thank God That Such People Lived

Here we go again – the Washington Post has published another report about the Haditha incident while the accused Marines have yet to even have a trial. To add insult to injury, Josh White and Company used a misleading headline that leaves one with a false impression.

The title of the article
is “Report On Haditha Condemns Marines – Signs of Misconduct Were
Ignored, U.S. General Says”. But reading the article you get quite
another impression of what the Bargewell Report says…

“Though
Bargewell found no specific coverup, he concluded that there also was
no interest at any level in investigating allegations of a massacre.”

There’s more on the deceptive practices of The WaPo which intentionally slimes these Marines.

A group of citizens attending the “Hold Their Feet To The Fire” Capitol radio rally were rudely thrown out of House Minority Leader John Boehner’s office.  Sounds like Boehner doesn’t like citizens visiting his office holding him to account.

Congressman John Boehner Throws Out Citizen Lobbyists

The office of Congressman John Boehner, minority leader in the House, threw out the first of our citizen lobbyists that went on Capitol Hill this morning to discuss illegal immigration. Most of the groups went out as five with a leader. The group that consisted of Jeff Liegey and Ed Liegey of Pennsylvania and Scot Toops and Maylene Miller of Ohio just got back about 5 minutes ago and said the staff of Boehner’s office were rude. Maylene said that she went into the office and respectfully requested a discussion on the issue and the office staff told her to stop yelling at them and eventually had them leave.

The group had no trouble at Rep. Duncan Hunters office, they were turned away at Rep. Murtha’s office but the staff was not rude to them.

Tn Senate Bill 1870 by Sen. Jack Johnson would be a significant step forward in demagnitizing Tn from illegal aliens. 

April 20th:

Known as the “Employer Responsibility in Hiring Practices Act�, the bill requires employers to use the Employment Eligibility Verification Basic Pilot Program to ensure that new hires are eligible to legally work in the United States.

The program is a web-based system that is operated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

“We are the first state in the nation to require that all employers use the Employment Eligibility Verification Program,� stated Sen. Johnson. “State government must be proactive in providing employers the tools they need to comply with federal immigration laws.�

Under the provisions of the bill, there will be no cost to the employers. If the employer does not have Internet access, they may contact the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development by telephone, mail, or facsimile to verify the employee’s employment eligibility.

Of course the chances of this becoming law are about nil to zilch since the Dhimmicrat controlled House and the Dhimmicrat Governor Bredesen will never approve the bill. At least the Republican Senate is showing Tennesseans what could happen if Republicans could wrestle control from King Jimmy Naifeh.
