Thinking Blogger Award

The Thinking Blogger Award came to me from Flag Gazer – thanks for the complement. The thought behind the award is for a blogger to pass on the award to 5 bloggers who make you think.

I’m not sure if these bloggers will participate but here’s my choices (I’ve tried not to include those listed by Flag Gazer or Yankee Mom)

My Thinking Blogger Awards go to

Chuck at From My Position
– originally Chuck was a deployed milblogger in Iraq. I had been reading Chuck for awhile and then Chuck become a Wounded Warrior who was the impetus behind the Valour IT program. His writing is in your face but has been moderated of late especially in the 4 letter word category. He’s still in your face. Those readers of Chuck and Carren lived through his stay at Walter Reed on his way to recovery although that recovery is a long process.

Blue Star Chronicles - Beth has a wide array of issues covered but is definitely a milblogger and troop supporter.  She’s also a bit touched since just recently Beth realized she had to go to the E.R. but FIRST……Beth had to take a shower and shave her legs.  Yep, I kid you not.  With great difficulty Beth endured a shower just so she wouldn’t go to the E.R. with hairy legs.

NOTR at Rofasix has to be one of the more curmudgeonly bloggers out there.  He’s also got a killer wit and loves his Bernese Mountain Dogs.  NOTR is a former Helo pilot and has quite a bit to say about Defense spending and helipcopter programs.

Chuck Grist at American Ranger is a rather new read for me.  SFC Grist is a veteran of Vietnam and Operation Iraqi Freedom (2004).  He’s currently at Ft. Bragg but will soon be once again deployed.

Blue Collar Republican is a Memphis, Tn group blog.  John Farmer is the blog owner and I would call him an activist working for change in the Memphis corruption machine known as politics.  He has a great blogburst almost everyday.  John is also a big troop supporter and anti-illegal alien proponent.

Rules of participation:
Congratulations, you won a
Should you choose to participate, please make sure you pass this list of rules to the blogs you are tagging. I thought it would be appropriate to include them with the meme. The participation rules are simple:
1. If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think,
2. Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme,
3. Optional: Proudly display the ‘Thinking Blogger Award’ with a link to the post that you wrote.
