This is an update on this story – Ethnic/racial percentage determine school officials?

If this isn’t the dumbest thing I’ve heard.  I didn’t realize that the Hispanics elected to the school board couldn’t speak English.  Tell me how idiodic these people can be to elect to a school board people who can’t speak the language.  Are they even literate? I mean are these people even legal residents who have been elected to the school board?  And just who is electing these people?  If none of them can speak English and if the only reason they elected them is because they also don’t speak any English then are the majority of voters illegal aliens?   Oh me bad.  I’m assuming if they can’t speaka the language they’re illegal.

Ooof.  I forgot.  This is Chicago after all.  The den of voter fraud.

Apparently, it’s now being said that some on the board didn’t understand anything that was said during the meeting so they weren’t able to hear about the ousted Principal’s accomplishments.  D’oh.  Now they think the vote should be invalidated.

From Chicago Sun-Times – Did Curie LSC members need translator?

The Feb. 10 vote to dump Jones should be invalidated because LSC members not fully fluent in English were asked “to vote on information they never understood,” association president Clarice Berry said.

At other meetings, Berry said, Curie LSC member Norma Valle translated.

But when Jones spoke for more than an hour Jan. 24, outlining her accomplishments as part of the principal selection process, “suddenly she [Valle] was not translating any more,” Berry said.

Jones offered to bring a translator on the day of her presentation, but LSC Chairman Tom Ramos said she didn’t need one, Berry said.

This complaint is coming from the head of the Chicago Principals Association.
