Snow in Middle Tennessee

Not surprisingly snow is a big deal here.  It’s actually kind of fun to see the snow.  We were supposed to get a couple inches yesterday and it didn’t happen.  Nonetheless, schools were closed and Tennesseans flocked to the store for bread and milk.  Today we finally got a couple inches.  Even though people tend to go a bit overboard with all the closings I think it’s great.  The snow is perfect for the kids to get out and make a snowman or for sliding.

Lucky for me I’m not leaving the house til later this morning. One thing about driving in Tennessee with snow (even a trace amount), the roads become bumpum cars. I will say that living in the country with the narrow, twisty and windy roads you do have to be careful. There are no shoulders on these roads so if you go off the road you can easily total your vehicle and cause serious damage to yourself.

Comparing your pix to those I posted from my shack in Moonshine Hollow – you win! One of my relatives offered to send us a snow shovel … what horror! Those things attract snow!
