Talk about a care package!

Now this is an amazing package Lance Cpl Jordan Richards received:

On Friday, Richards received the 200,000th package assembled by Operation Gratitude, a California-based, nonprofit group formed in 2003 to send service members food, toiletries, entertainment items and letters of appreciation. But because he was the random recipient of that particular care package, he also got a bonus: a 2007 Dodge Caliber, a baseball signed by the Los Angeles Angels, Los Angeles Lakers tickets, a letter signed by Elizabeth Taylor and a DVD player, among other things.

“We wanted to do something special,” Carolyn Blasheck, founder of Operation Gratitude, said of the group’s excitement at hitting the 200,000 package mark. Thanks to corporate sponsors such as restaurant chain Checkers/Rally’s, which chipped in the car, and other donors, it could.

Wow – imagine receiving that? Too cool.
