What’s the point?
Bredesen’s Christmas card depicts Muslim girl
The card’s cover is a print of a painting by the governor of a young woman he met when he toured Afghanistan in March.
This is Governor Bredesen’s Christmas Card. Why would you put a picture of a Muslim girl on an official Christmas card? How does this celebrate the birth of Jesus, does it honor a sacred Christian holiday?
Looks to me like he’s using a Christian holiday to pander to a religion that has nothing to do with Christmas. Why not put a Menorah on the card then?
Text of the card:
“May the peace and joy of this Christmas season be with you and your loved ones throughout the coming year,” the card reads.
“While it may seem odd to put a portrait of a young Muslim woman on a Christmas card, this Season reminds us that He loves His children most of all,” Bredesen stated on the back of the card.
Strange! I’m not feeling the love?

This is disturbing to me.
I don’t quite get the point, but don’t like what I read into it.

Yes, I think his comment on the back of the card, though sort of true about Christianity, (i.e., what does it mean to say “[God] loves His children most of all”?] appears to be a stab at a multi-culturalist Christmas card (is that an oxymoron?). Plus, the back verbiage reminds me of those blog posts that require a lot of ex-post facto explanation.

Oh dear ~ here’s another one telling me how I should think. I find that more self-righteous than loving.

The point? Islamification is part of the point. Interfaithing has become a major part of political correctness.

Do you feel safer?
On September 10, 2001, I never dreamed of the United States being attacked as it was on September 22, 2001. For many people like me it was a harsh wake-up to reality. Over the years since 9/11 the question keeps

Bredesen is simply another Lefty politico pandering for votes. What a nitwit!
I added you to my blogroll - I thought I had earlier, but I was quite wrong. What a ninny, huh?
