Yankee Mom has a roundup of each of the Marines and Navy Medic caught up in the Hamdania charges. Although Navy Corpsman Bacos pled guilty and testified against the other Marines there is still a question about his testimony.

From the NC Times:

Hutchins’ civilian attorney, Rich Brannon, called Bacos’ story “suspect.”

“When you are looking at life in prison and somebody says you can walk out the door, it’s very likely you (will choose to) walk out the door,” Brannon said following Hutchins’ hearing. “There is a possibility of untruths in the statement.”

But Brannon also cautioned that he is “not going to say he (Bacos) is a liar.”

A couple weeks ago I heard a local talk show host talking about the guilty plea of Corpsman Bacos and he co-mingled the Haditha Marines and Hamdania Marines into one exonerating the words of Rep. John Murtha who condemned the Haditha Marines as “committing cold blooded murder”. This was an outrageous statement to make considering none of the Marines had even been charged nor was the investigation was not complete. I contacted the talk show host via email and first set the record straight on the two different investigations noting what Murtha had done with his lies and dishonor to these Marines. I then reminded the talk show host about Ilario Pantano who also had someone in his unit testify against him and yet was exonerated on all charges. To the talk show host’s credit he read my email to set the record straight.

Just remember, all is not what it seems. These Marines are still being treated worse than any terrorist who is confined. It’s wrong, wrong, wrong.
