Chief Petty Officer Matt Woolley, of Terre Haute, Indiana, receives his new anchors pinned on by his wife and son on the flight deck aboard amphibious command and control ship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19). The honor of becoming a chief petty officer was bestowed upon 12 Blue Ridge Sailors after an intense six-week transition period.
These brave men and women risk their lives so that others may enjoy the freedoms we get to enjoy everyday. For that, I am proud to call them Hero. We Have Every Right To Dream Heroic Dreams. Those Who Say That We’re In A Time When There Are No Heroes, They Just Don’t Know Where To Look

Veteran Health Issue

Few people realize that asbestos exposure is a serious
health hazard among members of the military as well as
military veterans. Asbestos exposure has been conclusively
linked to the rare cancer mesothelioma. This is an
aggressive disease and mesothelioma treatment
options are usually limited palliative therapies.
Those who believe they may have been exposed to
asbestos should seek the counsel of a respiratory
specialist immediately. By spreading awareness of this hazard we can prevent mesothelioma and other respiratory
conditions related to asbestos exposure.
