Mexican Federale drug bust in Williamson County, TN

Filed under: Illegal Immigration — Toni @ 9:15 am

H/T to Bill Hobbs.

The Williamson County Sheriff during a routine traffic violation stop found a Mexican Federal police officer transporting a 15 lb. bale of marijuana. Alfonso Barrutia Dela Torre had a visitor’s pass which forbade him from traveling more than 25 miles from the US./Mexican border. He was traveling on a bus which was headed for Nashville.

It isn’t like there haven’t been reports of corruption within the Mexican Federales before regarding drug smuggling and border incursions into the US. But for the officer to be traveling to the interior of the country is a bit unusual. A routine traffic stop due to the bus tailgaiting on I-40 yielded some interesting arrests.

  1. You clearly don’t get it Toni! TN is within 25 miles of the Mexican border! (LOL)

  2. Wonder what the rest were arrested for. That could be very interesting.
