AntiWar but “support the troops” hypocrites
The antiwar idiots must be having their end of summer blow out.
From Andi’s World we see an idiot Mayor of Salt Lake City, UT who invited Code Pink to protest the American Legions 88th convention. Way to go Mayor Anderson, good promotion for your city. Veterans not welcome in Salt Lake City. We’ll bring in protestors if you come to our city.
Tanker Brothers have been receiving a fair amount of activity from antiwar idiots. Their “I support the troops but not the war” meme is dishonest. Don’t you wonder why the face of the modern antiwar idiots feel compelled to lie about their motives? Is it because dishonesty is an inherent component of their movement? Is it because they think this will help promote their agenda? Do they really think anyone other than themselves believes this prattle from them? What I find especially interesting is when these deluded idiots take after our active duty milblogging Soldiers. The depth of hostility is tangible toward these guys. I find it almost astonishing.
Here’s a sample of the comments over at the Tank Boys:
I am proud to be a friend of Jane Stillwater. On the other hand I would rather have a rattlesnake for a friend than a hate-monger like you.
If you were doing anything for this country you wouldn’t be in Iraq killing innocent people. The Iraqis never did anything to us and even that fraud in the Oval office admits that everything he has said is a bald faced lie. Of course he didn’t use the words lie or bald faced. That AWOL coward does what he has done all his miserable, useless life and blames someone else. I call it what it is.
This country was built on dissent against another (a real) king. He went down in defeat and so will the quack who squats in the oval office. I look forward to the day that this mass murderer has to face war crime charges. I look forward to seeing this abuser of the Constitution in prison. And while I defend our troops, (with exceptions such as brainwashed fools like you), I know that there are members of the military who should be facing those war crimes along with the Commander in Thief.
I would take Jane Stillwater over you macho nut cases and your nut case bosses any day of the week. Jane is interested in going to Iraq as a real journalist. Of course clowns like you and the old war-lord Rumsfeld don’t want the real story to come out so your game is to belittle those who are interested in the truth. Screw you.
You, mister are no hero. You are a traitor to this country and that is how you will be remembered. One only has to look at the science fiction at the bottom of your current page to see what caused your brain damage and since you have done nothing to pull yourself away from the TV and stupid war games, I have absolutely no compassion for you.
Tell me…. how much are you being paid to spew this Nazi ‘bullschitt’?

Thanks for the kind words.
I saw it coming from the Left, and have been prepping for this day for a very, very long time.
To be honest, I welcome it, because now we can expose the true face of the Anti-War movement.
Hooah.

Who is worse? The person who makes over the top ‘drive by comments’ or the people who lump one group of people with them?
Not all anti-war people are so idiotic, thanks.
And calling them hypocrites make you look bad. Anti-War means we want to see no more troops dying for this ridiculous cause. Supporting the troops means we want to make sure they don’t come home in body bags.
Of course, the squeakiest wheels get the grease, so the loudmouths will speak for those who quietly know better.
Take care!

Evan, you just proved my point. Did you go and read Master Gunner’s post? I doubt it based on your ignorant comment.

[…] Another question Bridger fielded was about the current war and the politics surrounding what is going on over in Iraq and Afghanistan. Bridger stated that he didn’t know how anybody could be against the war, but still be for the troops. […]

What about all of the troops who don’t even want to be in Iraq right now? How do you explain groups such as Iraq Veterans Against the War? Obviously they have seen something that has motivated them to work to being troops home. If we don’t want people to be killed for a corrupt cause that makes us hypocrites? If you disagree with anti-war activists, can’t you at least respectfully disagree or at least try to listen to their point of view instead of instantly writing them off and assuming that they don’t support the war for selfish reasons? What about all of the selfish reasons that we are involved in this war in the first place? (Halliburton anyone?) Our country has become so polarized that we can’t even have a civil conversation between two groups with different opinions anymore.
