Tennessee Senate Race just got uglier

What I feared – happened.  Bob Corker won the Republican Senate Primary.  If people don’t like negative politiking, they had better get used to it cause Corker’s real good at it.  Yes, I’m a Bryant supporter and am disappointed Ed didn’t win.  I knew it was a longshot for Bryant considering the unending supply of funds Corker has.

I’ve had to vote for moderates before like Norm Coleman in Minnesota.  But I knew in advance Norm’s position on most of these issues so there was no surprise.  With Corker there is no transparency.  He’s frosted over his positions on issues so the electorate has no true picture of his beliefs.  So, unlike with Coleman where I actually helped with his campaign, I’ll be a passive Corker supporter.  That means I’ll vote for him and that’s it.

Thanks to Van for diluting Ed’s votes and giving us Corker.  What you bet that Corker will vote for an amnesty bill?   Course, I don’t think that this will be an easy race between Corker and Ford.  Ford has an easy going charm along with good debating skills.  Doesn’t mean he’s honest or truthful.  I don’t think Corker is a good debater, he doesn’t believe in many of the things he’s saying.  Everything he says is driven by what will get Bob Corker elected.  There’s no inate passion, just a drive to win at any cost.
