Resolution to Require Legislators to Read Constitution Each Year

Filed under: Politics — Toni @ 7:05 am

McCaslin reports that Rep. Conaway (R, TX) has introduced a resolution to require each member of Congress to read the Constitution once a year. How could anyone be against this? I’m wondering though just how would this be verified? Not that I think all legislators are liars, oh no, I would never think that!

Other bits of gossip:
PETA has targeted Tom Selleck because the actor likes to attend rodeos. Oh, the horror! How could Tom condone such atrocities?

Rep. Christopher Shays (R, CT) is co-chairman of that all important Friends of Animal Caucus.

Swifties (Swift Boat Veterans for Truth) have created a new site called Murtha Lied. Captain Larry W. Baily (ret. SEAL) opened a bank account in the name of Vets for Truth help defeat Rep. John Murtha by sending Operation Street Corner missionaries to Murtha’s district in PA. Go Vets for Truth!

  1. Not only read the Constitution but then be tested on it. House and Senate - if you don’t pass, you have to take a Constitutional Ed class.
