Senate Judiciary Meeting on Immigration Reform
Well, I watched and/or listened to the Judiciary Committee meetings this afternoon. Let me tell you I have a headache! Not one Senator was against a Guest Worker plan, it was just a matter of degree and I hate to say that most of the Senators were going for Kennedy and McCain’s plan. I just loved it when Teddy Kennedy was talking about having illegal aliens living next door to you. Yeah. Right. I’m sure Teddy that you’ve experienced that one. NOT. What a sack of increment he is. The Democrats are against any kind of criminal labeling for illegal aliens, not even a misdemeanor. Guess breaking the law isn’t really breaking the law, course Teddy Kennedy has a lot of experience with that! Lindsay Graham totally PO’d me with his condescending lecturing on the meaning of amnesty. As much as these politicians know how angered the American public is with this issue they have decided to ignore our opinion. I just hope when this hits the floor and they have to work out a deal with the House this pathetic excuse for American politicians will not be successful.
Kudos to Senator Kyl. Even though I don’t agree with him on his amnesty Guest Worker Plan at least he does understand the anger dwelling within his constinuency. Oh and it was acknowledged by more than one Senator about the flood of calls and messages from the public about this issue, they just prefer to ignore us.

Don’t they work for us? Wouldn’t it be great to get a caravan of buses full of citizens (legal of course) and storm into the session and shout, “you’re all fired!”
(Hopefully they won’t do too much damage before we can try to vote them out.)

No better evidence than this bill that our esteemed representatives don’t at all mind selling the nation, and us, down the river. Both sides of the aisle smell to high heaven. It will be interesting to see how many conservatives stay home next congressional and presidential elections. I’m through holding my nose and voting for the lesser of evils.

I found a good article about the failed history of guest-worker programs. Read it here.
