Monsters In Your Closet - Does It Matter To The ACLU?

Filed under: ACLU — Toni @ 7:12 am

I liked the analogy presented by this writer. There are too many who discount the “Monsters in the Closet”. Happened with Hitler, Tojo, Bin Laden, Saddam and many others. The ACLU would rather protect the Monsters than the child in the bed. They always do this in what they call the name of “civil liberties” and say they are non-partison. Then why would George Soros and Peter Lewis (both of these are extreme left wing activists) donate millions of dollars to the organization. The ACLU is a supporter of the North American Man/Boy Love Association and is also fighting the Patriot Act and suing the NSA for it’s spying on terrorist groups in the US. Who funds the ACLU besides extreme left wing activisits? YOU the American taxpayer. How’s that? A law was passed back in 1976 which allowed judges to award legal fees to be paid to the ACLU by the government if the ACLU sued the government and won. The interesting thing is that the judges do have the option not to award the payments to the ACLU but judges always award payments for some reason. It’s gotten to the point where any government entity sued by the ACLU pretty much caves due to the cost of this litigation.

The Patriot Act is the monster in the closet to many on the left:

Unfortunately, America is not responding to today’s monsters the same way America responded in the past. Part of the problem is that many in the country have become terribly confused in what makes up a monster, and what does not. Some civil rights groups portray the Patriot Act as an uncontrollable monster that roams the streets gobbling up people’s rights. This fear maintains, even though after years of usage there have been no documented cases of abuse. In case that slipped by I’ll repeat it, NO CASES OF ABUSES! The Patriot Act has been audited for abuses by many organizations, including the ACLU. In fact, the Patriot Act has served to move national security forward by leaps and bounds by clarifying ambiguous laws, updating outdated laws, and, yes, strengthening some older laws to help in fighting a new type of war. Regardless of the obvious factual basis for the existence and usage of the Patriot Act, groups such as the ACLU maintain a constant search, with torches and pitchforks at the ready, for any reason to slay this law for protecting our national security.

Just who would you put your trust in? The ACLU or those working to protect you in our government. I see it as a choice between between George Soros/ACLU or George W. Bush.
