NORTH LAUDERDALE (CBS4 News/AP) A baby believed to be only a few hours old was thrown from a car onto a North Lauderdale street.
The Broward Sheriff's Office says the boy was rescued by a passing driver in the 7300 block of Kimberly Boulevard. The infant was taken to a nearby a nearby sheriff's office and then by helicopter to Broward General Medical Center.
Authorities say the baby boy -- weighing 8 lbs, 2 ounces -- is doing remarkably well. CBS4's Joan Murray reports the car was not moving at the time.
