Thankyou to Bunker Mulligan for this wonderful link. If any of you watched the CSPAN 2 hour forum on Jan. 30th sponsored by Spirit of American you would have seen Michael Totten as one of the bloggers for the forum. After the forum was over the group went out to dinner. Iraqis, Americans and Christopher Hitchens. You'll get indignant with the Iraqi's at some point cause Michael describes a HUGE fight and I don't mean argument, a fight between the Iraqi's and the Americans and Hitchens. All turns out ok but there's some insight into the Iraqi psyche.

One of the notable quotes Michael relays:

At one point, apropos of something I can’t remember, Ahman said to me: “I can tell you in one sentence how my country feels about your country.”

“Really?” I said. “Can you really boil it down to one sentence?”

“Yes,” he said. “And it is this: Thank you for coming, now please leave and take us with you.”

I laughed because it seemed totally contradictory and totally right.
