2/18/2005 06:20:00 PM|||Toni|||Today went to visit the parents in rural western Minnesota. On the way I drove through 2 mini snowstorms. I had decided to get the seats of my Explorer upgraded to heated seats which I was told when I bought the vehicle could be installed. Dropped the vehicle off at the local dealership and my Mom and I headed off to the nearest metropolis (Alexandria, MN) with me driving my parents PURPLE Escort sedan (yes it is purple). This is their runabout gas saving car which my Mother loves (go figure?) My Mother is the shopping Queen. She doesn't necessarily buy but what she does buy is good value for the buck. As usual, she has to stop at the grocery store (at least 2 of them) to buy whatever it is she has coupons for. We arrived back at the Dealership and I signed a form for the recall thingy I had done and was waiting for the service guy to tell me how much I owed for the heated seats. No charge! Whoa. Guess what? I've been driving around in subzero weather when I already had heated seats in the vehicle (unbeknownst to me of course). I had been told when I bought the vehicle used that it didn't have that particular feature but it could be added. In the end I'm happy, I have my heated seats and it didn't cost me any additional dollars. It's interesting the looks you get when driving around in a purple Escort even in rural Minnesota! I might also add, small town dealerships are such a joy to deal with in comparison to metro dealerships. No bull involved.|||110877313055004387|||Hey All
