Can someone please explain to me WHY in the world we are doing this? I thought these base developments were a thing of the past? We're moving out of some bases in Germany but then expanding another base in Germany? I also thought that the overseas bases were set to be shorter term rotations so families would not be included. I'm so confused!! Is this another situation where political lobbying by a German official played a card with some Congressman or Senator? When the Pentagon is requiring the elimination of defense development but at the same time spending huge dollars on this?
